Re: NBA Ref Fixing Games?
I don't know about that. In football I'd say majority of holding calls on offensive linemen could be questionable. There are very few holding calls that are blantenly obvious. Same goes for pass interference. Another grey area foul. What's to say an ump doesn't/does call these penalties in the critical moments of the game? These penalties could affect the outcome of a game because they are grey area fouls.
The big difference between football and basketball is the frequency. A ref trying to fix a game in football can't call 4 holding calls in a row. A ref fixing a basketball game can call 4 shooting fouls in a row.Comment

Re: NBA Ref Fixing Games?
Some interesting stats from a gambling site that tracks trends for every NBA ref.
- Donaghy officiated 74 games
- Out of 60 referees he ranked 3rd in officiating the most games where the final score topped the over/under
- The home teams' record against the spread that he officiated in was 30-41-3 which is 52nd out of 60 refs.
Pretty clear and damning stuff right there.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NBA Ref Fixing Games?
I wonder how many other refs are in this, and others involved in the front office...
I wonder if they are blaming an incident with the mob while taking blame away from the entire nba's front office?
or maybe I'm taking things too far too early lolComment

Tell me about it. Back in the day before all this internet stat tracking, the best gamblers knew all this info and kept it to themselves. Reminds me of Sam Ace Roestien in Casino. He knew semi-useless stuff like this.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

This is a small tidbit, but it could get interesting very, very quickly.

I bet Wade isn't loving the sound of this"Love me or hate me, it’s one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, my swagger. Hate my fadeaway, my hunger. Hate that I’m a veteran. A champion. Hate that. Hate it with all your heart. And hate that I’m loved, for the exact same reasons.”- Kobe BryantComment
