Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
He was far from a waste. It was a steal at 11, I'm surprised he didn't go higher.
Also, just because he's white doesn't mean he's not athletic. I'm sick of hearing that from people. When he plays significant minutes, he produces. Look at the game logs, that's all you need to do. Your anti-J.J. bias is kind of sad considering it's preventing you from seeing the talent that he does have.Comment

Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
So let's see, he's a slow, short injury prone shooting guard without jumping ability, strength, ball handle or playmaking abilities. Yeah, it was a steal, but JJ was the thief. Outside of the league, the young man can shoot the lights out. In the NBA reality, he's a scrub that just got replaced by Mo Evans.Comment

Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
I think if JJ got consistent minutes of the bench (not 10 minutes then 2 DNPs in a row), he could be a decent contributor with his shooting. I loved watching him in college, but I knew he wasn't going to be a star in the NBA. In the draft, I thought the Rockets should have gotten him because their 3 point shooting is atrocious.Villanova Class of 2012

Is he even fully recovered from that back injury? If that's the case then I can see why he isn't getting any minutes.Comment

Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
As shown tonight against Memphis. He got 26 minutes and scored 12 points on 4-7 shooting, 1-1 from three.Comment

There is no petty bias' in the NBA. The best players play, period.Last edited by ZM Punk; 12-16-2007, 02:27 AM."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
Do you think he'd be a 20/15 guy if he played 40 minutes?
This stuff happens all the time. JJ will score 12 points on that day. Next time he'll be 1-5 with 5 points."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Can we close the book on JJ Redick?
I still think the kid can play... maybe not a star but he can do some things. I think he needs to be in the right system and healthy. when you already limited athletically injuries are not your friend. he may be one of those guys who goes to another team and really finds his niche.
I say keep the book open until we see a full season of consistent minutes. Anyone with that kind of range can be effective in the L espically with zone defenses and such...I realize I am in the minority here.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment
