He was far from a waste. It was a steal at 11, I'm surprised he didn't go higher.

Also, just because he's white doesn't mean he's not athletic. I'm sick of hearing that from people. When he plays significant minutes, he produces. Look at the game logs, that's all you need to do. Your anti-J.J. bias is kind of sad considering it's preventing you from seeing the talent that he does have.

Because like I said, his coaches are trying to ruin his career. There's nothing he can do in Orlando right now, he'll get screwed over no matter what.

Orlando has the best road record in the league. The coaches are trying to win, and they are doing a good job of it. Stan Van Gundy gives people opportunities.

I think if JJ got consistent minutes of the bench (not 10 minutes then 2 DNPs in a row), he could be a decent contributor with his shooting. I loved watching him in college, but I knew he wasn't going to be a star in the NBA. In the draft, I thought the Rockets should have gotten him because their 3 point shooting is atrocious.

Is he even fully recovered from that back injury? If that's the case then I can see why he isn't getting any minutes.

As shown tonight against Memphis. He got 26 minutes and scored 12 points on 4-7 shooting, 1-1 from three.

JJ got torched a few times on D... but I still think he's worth the roster spot. I'd rather have Ronnie Brewer, though.

This isn't High School Basketball this the freakin NBA!!! The same NBA where coaches get canned for having one bad season. If JJ deserved to get quality minutes he would.

There is no petty bias' in the NBA. The best players play, period.

This stuff happens all the time. JJ will score 12 points on that day. Next time he'll be 1-5 with 5 points.

I still think the kid can play... maybe not a star but he can do some things. I think he needs to be in the right system and healthy. when you already limited athletically injuries are not your friend. he may be one of those guys who goes to another team and really finds his niche.

I say keep the book open until we see a full season of consistent minutes. Anyone with that kind of range can be effective in the L espically with zone defenses and such...I realize I am in the minority here.
