I don't think they mean it the same way they mean that Dwayne Wade can create his own shot. I've watched them scout players like JJ, and JJ himself, and they really mean more like "he might be too unathletic and small to get enough space to shoot the J". So this covers the whole gamut: can't shoot off the dribble, might not be quick enough with the pump fake-release, can't rise above defenders etc..

I think it's another way of saying he needs to be WIDE open to get his shot off, otherwise close out defenders can bother him.

Problem is on a team like the Magic where double downs on the post creates open looks he does ok but if a team stays at home on the shooter and plays Howard straight up he is useless.... and add the fact he is a defensive liability no matter who he guards whether its the PG or the SG and he lacks the real JJ's (Barea) ability to handle the ball and create space off the dribble on the pick and roll

When some says we can close the book on JJ Redick I think someone is talking about him being something other than a role player that plays small minutes

so basically you are saying JJ Reddick is useless in real life as well as in NBA 2k.

                Brilliant!

Yeah. The Duke offense cater to his every need his Junior-Senior years. I am sure there are highlights on you tube but it was a really interesting thing to watch.

Yet he still managed to score efficiently in his freshman and sophomore seasons without the offense being centered around him...

His efficiency went up dramatically his senior year.

Yes,but that doesn't take away from the fact that he was already efficient before K revolved the offense around him.

How dare he have a bad game.

I guess it was just luck that he torched a taller, more athletic P.J. Tucker and dropped 41 against Texas?

In all fairness to JJ, Garret Temple had nothing to do with that.

JJ sucked in every tournament loss.

I know that I haven't been in this thread like that but I had to point out that J.J. had a killer game against the Bulls last night. He was torching the heck out of us all evening when he was in the game. The man's game is coming back. They even mentioned that he's like a Ben Gordon. Funniest thing I've heard in a while but it was almost like that.
