Thats why Dirk spent so much time on the elbow taking his guy one on one. More than a few times last night he was on the block and didn't have to call for the ball, it was there, and not just from kidd. That move that drew the fourth foul on west is what we need from Dirk. This trade is all about maximizing Dirk. Dirk said it best when he said now I can go back to being the scorer instead of the playmaker.
Ab.so.freaking.lutely! I've always griped about how much this team just settles for/forces the jump shot and doesn't drive to the hole. Dirk has done that a LOT more lately. Kidd will only help that because he will put that ball right where it needs to be.

And not only that, but this team is exceptional at making free throws(currently 1st in the league at 81.89%) so they need to drive to the bucket, draw the fouls and then get to the line and get to the bonus as quickly as possible so that they can maximize the charity shots. The times that they were leading/holding close last night was when they were doing exactly that. When they started settling for jump shots and forcing throws, they started falling behind.

To give New Orleans their due, though -- they were red-hot and Paul couldn't miss in the 3rd.
    Sports are good.

you need to check Paul's scoring line the last time the Mavs played NO... Harris got it worse than Kidd did... so please, don't come to any conclusion that Harris would have made a difference last night.

Van Horn's Fax to NBA officials.
18-1 hell of a season regardless

Kidd looked a lot more comfortable running the show against Memphis. I knew we would win, my concern was watching how we won. I like the kidd terry combo in the backcourt, but jones may end up being the guy who wins the starting 2 guard spot with jet coming in and firing off the bench.
