      Re: Lebron vs. Kobe?

I'd have to go with Lebron on both accounts.

I'll admit, I'm a Kobe ***** but not to a point where I think he sucks because he doesn't. Kobe would be a close second for my choice. He's currently one of the top 3 players on the planet and by far the best SG in the league. However, Lebron is younger and is only destined to get better. And yes, the prospect of him getting better than what he is now is scary.

I am stunned to see how many people think LeBron is a better basketball player than Kobe.

Why wasn't LeBron the NBA candidate for Best Male Athlete?

I'd say James is just about even with Bryant right now. I'm not stunned considering how so many simply don't like Bryant.

I'm stunned to see that someone, especially Dre, thinks that LBJ is more clutch than Bryant. I mean.. really?

Yeah it's crazy how different people think different things. What kind of world is it where people have different opinions?

What does that have to do with this conversation? Seriously, what does it have to do with it? Please explain the correlation to me very slowly and carefully. I have to hear this.

Also, let's not make this into some "they don't like so and so" thing. A question is asked, people answer.

I agree with you Trob. Who cares about the flippin ESPY's.

Anyway here's why I still roll with Bryant: CLUTCH, defense, post up game, perimeter creativity i.e. shooting, stopping and popping off a dribble.. everything other faucet it's pretty much even, or LBJ has a slight slight edge.

Well, basically there was a fan vote to decide. So I am suprised to see Kobe win there, and LeBron win here. That is all.

According to most posters in this thread, LeBron is a better defender. lmao.
I guess people don't think shooting is very important either, because people seem to forget about LeBron's shooting ability.

Prove this clutch thing to us please

In the Clutch Lebron gets more steal blocks points assists rebounds shoots a better fg% and turns the ball over less.

You come on now, and this has nothing to do with dislike for a freaking player. That card is just old.

There is a huge reason Cleveland had the most 4th qtr comebacks this season, and one LeBron James was a big part of that

I said Kobe is a better shooter, but some people also tend to forget efficiency, and ability to get to the basket.

Do you mean in the last two minutes of the game or something? Where are you getting those clutch stats. When exactly is "the clutch" for you? I'm going by the classical definition of clutch. Taking over the game in the end.

LOL, that's not the definition of clutch at all.

                            4th quarter or overtime

Last or less than 5 minutes left

Neither team ahead by more than 5 points

                              Assuming you're using http://www.82games.com/CSORT11.HTM

And Lebron had 58% more "clutch time" in 12 more games. I have a feeling that those additional minutes and games were not against the Spurs, Pistons, and Celtics.

And for what it's worth, Manu has easily the best clutch stats in the league.

4th quarter comebacks being a badge of honor is really stupid. I'm sure if the Lakers, Hornets, Spurs, Jazz, Rockets, Pistons, Magic, or Celtics really wanted to, they could have toyed with the bottom teams and made some comebacks. Give me a 30 point lead in the third over a comeback opportunity any day.
