Hawks sign Joe Smith to vet minimum deal.

Source: Smith to join 10th team

Also, Cavs sign Rob Kurz to non-guaranteed deal...basically making him a training camp invitee.

HM, what do you think of the Cavs letting Joe Smith go? I really wanted him on the C's last year...

Seems strange, honestly. He was a great contributor, and would seem to fit nicely still. He barely played at all in the last 3 ECF games, dunno what happened. We made it clear with the Powe signing that Smith would have been a placeholder/insurance policy, and I don't blame him for passing on that...but I really can't figure why we didn't try harder to get him.

Joe Beast is still worth more than the vets minimum, IMO.

          Warriors Sign Mikki Moore: http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/08/31/w...atson-staying/

Also, it appears that C.J. Watson will stay on a 3 year deal.

Mo Pete or they finally le tthe leash off of Julian "JuJu" Wright but his shot is so suspect that defenses will be begging him to shoot

Right. I like how you guys predicted nobody would compete with these three teams, yet you make this post below

                  LMBO.

Well so far they're 1-1, in terms of going to the lottery.

Like I said in 2 years the East will be prime for newcomers. BOS will be done.
