They've been saying that for almost three weeks now. Apparently Walsh wants to try and move Eddy Curry or Jeffries before signing Sessions. Good luck with that, Donnie.

They will be impossible to move. They have player options after next season for huge money. Donnie needs to give up on that for awhile.

                  Pistons re-sign Big Ben
Wallace rejoins team; expected to be leader more than a player

Chris McCosky / The Detroit News

Auburn Hills -- On a day when the Pistons signed all three 2009 draft picks, they also reached an agreement with one of their former all-stars.
Ben Wallace, the four-time defensive player of the year, agreed to terms with the Pistons on a one-year deal worth $1.3 million. Wallace is expected to sign the deal next week.
Wallace's role in Detroit, however, is expected to be a far reduced one than when he left for Chicago in 2006. He will be the fifth big man and serve as a much-needed leader on a team whose average age is 25.

That's great. Big Ben is one of the great stories in the NBA and it's cool that he's able to go back to the team where he made his reputation and help them out. Always seemed like a nice guy, glad he found a spot and didn't just hang it up.

Marvin Williams re-signs with the Hawks for 5 years at $37.5 Mil with incentives that can push it up to $43 Mil.

Press Release - 08/07 - 2:56 PM EST (AP Photo)
The Atlanta Hawks Friday re-signed restricted free agent forward Marvin Williams, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund. Per team policy, terms were not announced. "Marvin is an important part of our core, and we're very pleased to keep him in a Hawks uniform," Sund said. "As one of our talented and versatile young veterans, he's shown improvement every year in the league, and we look for that trend to continue. A big priority this summer was to retain as many of our free agents as possible and keep our nucleus intact, so Marvin's return is significant for us." In 284 career games, Williams is averaging 12.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 1.4 apg in 31.7 mpg (.450 FG%, .801 FT%). He's also seen action in 13 postseason contests (10 starting assignments), putting up 8.5 ppg.

Well they're clearing room for something. Dude was nearly medically retired and had no hope of contributing this year. I hope this means they're gonna use the trade exception on someone quality soon. I hate giving up another damn 1st round pick though, even if it's lottery-protected.

Kinda surprising that a team managed to dump salary TO Memphis instead of the other way around. Saves Denver over $7 mil including the luxury tax...
