I'm not sure how much more Powe's knee can take...it's only a matter of time before he'll need is fourth, likely career ending surgery. I suppose it wouldn't be bad for BAE, but I'm not going to celebrate over it. I do love Powe's game when healthy, though.

Would be a nice playoff piece. Someone who isnt afraid of the stage. He'd be so rusty though...maybe he comes in sometime after the break, take 2 mos to get ready. Meh, could contribute.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Nets-Celtics reportedly working on a sign and trade that would send BBD to New Jersey.
I'd take him if the price is right but I have seen reports that the Celtics would match any offer under $5 Mil which if that is the case, then I'll pass since he's not worth $5 Mil per year.#RespectTheCultureComment

DALLAS (AP)—The Dallas Mavericks have signed free agent forward Tim Thomas(notes).
The 6-foot-10 Thomas, a 12-year veteran, played for the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Chicago last season. He averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in his 64 games, 36 with the Knicks, 18 with the Bulls and 10 with the Clippers. He played 19 1/2 minutes a game.
Thomas has made 946 career 3-pointers, shooting 37 percent from long range in 806 games. He made 41 percent of his 3-point attempts last season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed Tuesday. Thomas has also played for Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Phoenix.
Also
The Indiana Pacers announced Tuesday they have signed veteran point guard Earl Watson to a multi-year contract.
Per club policy, terms of the contract were not released.
The 6-1 Watson is an eight-year veteran who played last season with Oklahoma City. He averaged 6.6 points and 5.8 assists per game for the Thunder and in his career averages 7.3 points and 4.6 assists per game.Comment

They're talking about a sign and trade swap of Yi and BBD apparently... that would be interesting. Saw that on insidehoops.com...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Holy crap, that's one veiny dude. At least they know he has good circulation.. jeez.
And yeah, he looks scary.. he's extremely athletic for a lanky 7-footer, and if he added all that muscle, wow. If he can stay healthy, he'll be a really nice player.. I always liked his game actually, his stroke is silky and he has good handles for a big guy.Last edited by Stumbleweed; 07-28-2009, 06:02 PM.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

I would say this is a terrible, awful signing...but he's certainly an upgrade over Devean George and Matt Carroll as an end of the bench role player. Dallas does need to add three point shooters. They were among the worst in the league in tres last season.Comment
