Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
The rules are the rules, pretty sure they've been in place for a while. You either adapt or you're out of a job.

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
I've never subscribed to a thread before but im DEFINITELY subscribing to this one.
Its the last chance for everybody to air it out
I guess i should but my views on it to, and since it will be 9000 pages it wont matter.
He's a basketball player, he retired. I only cheer for the jerseys, he was a grizzly for a few games. Before that, he was just another non-de script, non grizzlies player. Dont care about his legacy or impact.

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
What about the league wide memo head office sent around to the refs mid way through ai's rookie season, telling them to call carrying/palming more cause of the effectiveness of his crossover. That one at least was definitely targetting ai, have a look at his handles the first half of his rookie season pre memo, loose as hell and amazing to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuEWymWsCioComment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
Once again tell me how the dress code was singling out AI?
Facts are facts. A majority of players were dressing like idiots. Point blank, they needed a dress code.
Andat the palming memo. Players don't need advantages. Play by the rules. Pretty simple. AI never had a problem with him getting called for that violation anyway.
I never wore a du rag, had ear rings, chains nor had braids...So I couldnt care less to admitt that AI dressed liked a "idiot"....
NBA gave Jordan and LBJ an advantage...Comment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
Maybe now he can release a rap album...And I'm serious back in the day I heard stuff from him and he was on some MOBB DEEP type stuff and i liked it...
But seriously and in all due respect...
Philly did him dirty by putting in a coach that wanted nothing to do with point blank. The GM should of had better sense at the time than to let iverson go. In defense of his "pride' you gotta admit that when everyone around doesn't like you behind your back but loves in in front of a crowd it has to hurt
How can a player that drops numbers like him be called a bad player? Put him at about 10 more inches and 60 pounds more say and he'd beat jordanWTF? 7 foot tall and 220 lbs? I'm not even gonna get into this one, lol, lol, lol, lol......

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
The rule wasn't just for AI, but for a majority of the players. Although he himself was a part of the problem. The rule is a far cry from "treating AI like a step child". LOLComment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
Dont even see how the way they were dressed was even a problem......If anything, Id rather them wear team apparel than suits...The worse men in American History wore suits...Aint like player were getting bullied for their jackets in the locker rooms ala school...
But thats another topic...Last edited by Jukeman; 11-25-2009, 09:19 PM.Comment

Dont even see how they were dress was a problem from the start....Id ratger them wear team apparel than suits anyways...The worse men in American History where glorified in wearing suits...
But thats another topic...
I don't see how the dress code was put only for AI. It was put in for a lot of players. It doesn't matter who the biggest offender was.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
When people who spend 200k on luxury boxes and 1k per seat per game to sit courtside say it's a problem, then it's a problem.Last edited by yankeesgiants; 11-25-2009, 09:38 PM.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment
