If you forget about the last 2 years, watching this man play has been an absolute pleasure. I wish him the best, but I don't think we've heard the last from him for some reason....

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
One of the greatest players to ever play the game, I like to see all the haters still being negative in his retirement please yall all got yall wish already no need to bash him now its over.
I will always see AI as what he is and that is one of the most passionate and probaly the toughest player I have ever seen play, I will always respect what he has done on that basketball court and how many NBA players now are still copying AI's style to some extent(the headbands, tattoos, arm sleeves, finger sleeves)
I'm a very sad NBA fan today becuase of how the way AI went out but maybe now the haters will go away and AI could live a normal life.
Thank you AI for all the difficult years you had and I will never forget what you brought to this game. In my opinion you were the most popular since Jordan(and that includes Kobe, Shaq, Lebron etc)
Thanks for all the memoriesComment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
Iverson is a top 10 guard ever. I don't blame him for retiring. The way he was treated by the league is a joke. He could still put up 20ppg easily, especially for these bum teams. I wanted Iverson to get that ring, but I would rather he retire with his accolades than come off the bench for a championship team to put up like 10 ppg.
Sure he's older, but it's not even like he fell off that much. He just averaged 16 ppg for Denver 2 years ago. His stint in Detroit was a joke. He had no freedom, and he shot a career low 15 shots per game. They said Stuckey was the future...well how is that working for Detroit now? Then he goes to Memphis and they wanna start Mike Conley over him? That's crazy.Last edited by Po Pimp; 11-25-2009, 07:10 PM.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
I respect AI. But I won't miss him. His attitude and selfish play signified a era in the NBA. One that I pretty much ignored, as I am just now getting back into it.
Also, quit with the "spend time w/ my family" bull. They all say that and in less than two weeks they are playing again, coaching, playing minor league baseball....Last edited by Laettner32; 11-25-2009, 07:17 PM.Comment

Re: Allen Iverson RETIRING
I like seeing all the fake experts saying how AI was a selfish player. Tell me how please? I would like to know how yall came up with that? also what era did he signify huh?
All you guys talking crap but have nothing to back up yall statements, all yall doing is just repeating what the other ***** said.Comment
