HH and RealGM are basically the same thing, at least HH has the great salary break down.

Here's what I think: Nobody knows anything at this point!!!! It's all a bunch of crap. And that goes for the "insiders" on ESPN. Until I see some overwhealming evidence between now and midnight, i.e., all media outlets reporting FACTS instead of rumors, I am assuming LeBron is staying in Cleveland.

I think Chicago is the forerunner for LeBron. BUT rest assured, he's going to give Cleveland every chance to convince him to stay. I agree, Cleveland is not out of this yet. If they happened to swing a last minute sign-and-trade with one of the other MAX players I'm going to Vegas and beating all my money on LeBron staying in Cleveland. As a Bulls fan, I would be highly disappointed but if that deal happens with Cleveland, Lebron is staying home.

yet no player besides Hakeem has won a championship without at least one more HOF superstar on the roster...except maybe the Pistons but they had all stars at every position

Winning championships is the main objective so I can see using that as a criteria to compare players. Im just curious why its to such a ridiculous extreme in basketball compared to other team sports.

Yes players make more of an impact in basketball, but it still takes a stacked team to win. However, that said, it doesnt make sense to downgrade and hold it against a player that they played well on a stacked team like many people do to football players for some reason.

Clippers for the comedy factor. There wouldn't be anything better than seeing arguably the best player in the NBA on the worst franchise in sports. Imagine the rift it would cause in Los Angeles, fans would be divided over who to support.

Duncan in 2003 and Kobe in 2009

Because one player in basketball can be worth 30 wins which isn't true in any other sport.

That said, there's no way in hell that Lebron goes to Dallas.

Aside from the 0% chance that Cleveland sign and trades him, if he wanted to play for an aging team that ends in "avs" he can stay in Cleveland.

There's not even a trade that makes sense for Cleveland.

The foreign kid, Caron Butler, and Stevenson? The Cavs beat the Wizards three years in a row, why would they want that same team but older and missing its best player?

Morrison has 2 rings while LeBron has none. I think we all know who the better player is despite championships

As will Manu and Robinson from Duncan's 2003 team.

That doesn't mean they were close to Hall of Famers when the chip was won.

Pau was making his first All Star game in four years and the second in his eighth season in the NBA and made the prestigious 3rd team All NBA. Hardly "HOF superstar" at that point.

Not at all, so many people fail to realize how big of a joke the basketball HOF is.

If James Worthy can get in averaging 17 & 5 for his career and never being the best player on his team then Gasol will be in especially with the void of big men in the 00's.

The sad thing is that that IS HOF worthy by basketball standards.

All-Star games don't mean much anyway, he wasn't going to be a perennial All-Star in Memphis regardless of what he did.

Scottie Pippen only averaged 16 points/game in his career and was never the best player on his team. Well, maybe except in 1994 when Jordan went to go play baseball. But all his other years, he was the second fiddle man. BUT no one questions is HOF credentials. So is Worthy not a HOFer because he played with Magic Johnson?

Ill give you Duncan in 03, but Kobe had Pau

Hakeem and Duncan...that makes two players in history

it wouldnt make sense to trade for Stevenson

the package would be something like this:
                            Dampier (14 mil instant expiring)
                            Butler (11 mil expiring)
                            Beaubois
Dominique Jones (this years 1st round pick)
                            2011 1st round pick
...and/or Dallas would take back a bad contract or two from Cleveland

but I agree that he isnt going to Dallas...I bet it will be Cleveland or Chicago

Worthy was also a college All American with a Final Four MOP and a Finals MVP (I'm pretty sure college counts for the HoF).
