Yeah i think any time you get the chance to add a LeBron / Wade calibre player you leap at it. If it doesn't come off fine, at least you tried. If you end up with neither then turn your focus to Melo. The bulls will be better next year regardless of who they sign, that's one thing they have in their favor. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls could pull off a 3-5 seed next year without any major changes, if they can add another star then it's just icing on the cake. I hope they don't make a kneejeck reackon and overpay for someone like Boozer if they miss out on LBJ / DWade. Noah and even moreso Rose are going to be downright scary in 10-11 regardless of who they add.

Yea, that's TOO big of a risk right there if you're going to wait on Melo next year. But I guess that would all depend on the team itself(that would go after him).#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
At this point I would be shocked, SHOCKED if he did not come to the Nets. I read about Prokhorov every single day in the papers here, and this guy is taking this team places. LeBron will win championships and become a billionaire athlete if he goes to the Nets.
He's not gonna live in Jordan's shadow w/the Bulls, the Knicks aren't going to put a contender together fast enough, there aren't enough basketballs in Miami for him, Wade, and Bosh...he won't win a championship anytime soon if he stays in Cle plus he can make up that extra 30 mil in any other big market, and do I even need to give examples for the Clippers?
To me this is a no brainer. My opinion.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
The MJ shadow argument has little ground really. It's been stated by his people that if anything it would be a positive. Either way he will always be in MJ's shadow. In Chicago it will be more but he will never be able to escape it no matter what the team is.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I agree to an extent, but come on. When LBJ puts on a Bulls jersey, when the arena has a statue of MJ..... to me that's a much bigger shadow than playing in NJ or NY or CLEComment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
The whole "in the shadow of MJ" thing is just a joke. That is hype people are creating in their own minds. If Lebron came here and won a title, no one in Chicago would go "oh but he didn't win 6!!!!"

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I couldn't compare LeBron to MJ untill he wins a ring. Right now i think its 50% he stays in Cleveland and 50% somewhere else.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls
NCAA: Iowa HawkeyesComment

Anyway I can't wait to see this thing over with.
Seems wide open for all the teams involved sans Clippers/Heat.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
ex, MJ's shadow exists. It will always exist. As I mentioned, it will be a bigger shadow in Chicago then elsewhere. Thing is with LBJ he was the anointed one before he even stepped on the court. The hype of him is creating the shadow issue; if it even exists outside the media. How come Wade isn't mentioned with MJ's shadow at all? He grew up here, a Bulls' and huge MJ fan.
As I said, I think it's a non-issue.Comment

I wouldn't be surprised if the shadow was a non-issue, but at the same time if one were to think it was an issue I wouldn't disagree either.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I personally find the whole "mj's shadow" thing pretty stupid. So what no franchise caliber player should ever play in a city that has had a big star? I wonder if KG ever took "bird's shadow" into consideration when there were talks of him being traded to Boston.Comment
