ehh, you need to drive down to Curry's place and lead a trail of donut crumbs as far as possible away from LBJ.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I don't see why the Knicks having the most flexibility out of any team out there is consistently being viewed as a bad thing. Not having pieces in place is one of the biggest draws of the Knicks because you can do so much. Yes, a lot needs to happen, but the potential in New York is bigger than any other location, and that's ON the court. And they are with obtainable, realistic moves. Not pipe dream trades or impossible scenarios.Comment

Some are valid concerns but not a one single member of the media outside of NY thinking New York is a good place to go is hilarious. Everyone rips any article about what "could" happen and every non-NY media outlet thinks there's no chance of any of that happening. Why?

It's weird that LBJ would talk to Eddy about this. The article said that it may have been nothing more than they both share the same agent. I dunno. LBJ also played for D'Antoni in the Olympics so I don't think he'd be influenced by what Eddy's thoughts are on Mike since LBJ has first-hand experience of playing for him.
I don't see LBJ calling Jerome James to ask him for advice about the Bulls.
What gives?
EDIT: Apparently the two have worked out in the summer in the past. I guess it's just getting more pub cause LBJ is a FA now.Last edited by ehh; 05-18-2010, 12:13 PM."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

LBJ with Curry seems odd but what I find even more hard to believe is Curry actually working out in the summer. Maybe LBJ just uses Curry as motivation to continue to work harder. lolComment

LeBron is looking for a house in Highland Park. For those who don't know, it's a suburb of CHICAGO.
It's also home to a certain player from a certain town.
BTW, have the New Yorkers of this forum picked up my smarmyness?? Good.Comment

LOL. I guess if you need a boost after a rough exit from the postseason nothing will make you feel better about yourself than being in the same gym as Curry."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
Chicago easily has the most flexibility because they have cheap rookies and will have massive expiring contracts the next few years.
The Knicks have flexibility now, but after this year they'll be locked into what they sign.
Chicago can get Bron and I'm guessing another 8-10 million dollar player. Then they can trade Heinrich after this year and have 3 very good young players who if they wanted to could trade for major pieces. Obviously those young players are the primary lure for getting Lebron there, but if for whatever reason he doesn't work with Rose or Noah they would fetch quite a bit.Comment

The question is, if LeBron and a JJ or a Bosh or Boozer a second round playoff team at least next season? Or if they get burned by the big guys a LeBron and David Lee Knicks team.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
He's probably not waiting 2-3 years for the Bulls though, the Bulls are a 40+ win playoff team without LeBron or Bosh and without jumpshooters (see this year), the Knicks aren't even Atlantic Division title contenders without him.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
My point was that if he goes to the Bulls and for some reason they don't win the Bulls can trade Heinrich's contract or Rose, Noah, or Gibson for legit players. If they do win, they can pull a Lakers-like move and extend the winning by trading Deng's contract.
Obviously the expectations would be for him to win now. He'd be going to a 41 win team with another good signing. The Knicks are a 29 win team possibly minus their best player (though they would be replacing him with an upgrade I would assume).Comment
