It's MORE than that. It is about HOW it went down.

People are calling Bosh a little wuss because he tagged along Wade's shirt for most of free agency.

People hate the fact that Wade visited other teams while (according to you as well) he had no intention of leaving. It was a smokescreen.

People are jumping the Prince for having a one hour special to stab the hearts of people who supported him for years, locals. Roger Clemens and Boston/Toronto, anyone?

Don't be naive and act like it's simply about leaving. You quit your job and don't give notice and you're a douche. This is no different. Might as well start fist pumping in the clubs.

I don't see the reasoning to hate Wade and Bosh for some of the points you mentioned. Wade said he was gone if LeBron or Bosh didn't join him so he made sure to explore his options in case this thing fell through.

Bosh tagging along with Wade doesn't really give reason to hate the guy. He wanted to team with Wade....big deal.

But, I definitely do agree with you about LeBron. I am defending him for other reasons but the whole TV thing/holding Cavs management hostage by not letting them know anything was a bitch move. No doubt. For that he deserves the hate he is getting....for some of the other reasons though, he doesn't.

LeBron's team approached ESPN, it was not the other way around. In any case it's just borderline ego maniacal to ask for an hour of TV time to celebrate yourself, whether it's for 'charity' or not.

I think the names "king" and "the chosen one" are silly names for someone who has never done anything. It is not irrational to hold someone who has such a high regard for himself responsible for all of his contrary actions, amidst those actions throwing a playoff game your team could have one. He should be insulted by those who put faith in the fact that he would honor his contract and compete. And any name that some come up with, won't be any sillier than what he named himself, "king", "chosen one", now that is silly, and don't right disrespectful.

He has carried a horrible team the Finals and won two MVP's. Saying that he hasn't done anything is ridiculous.

LeBron doesn't need to have an hour long special as an excuse to give money to charity.

It reminds me of the Chris Rock joke "I take care of my kids". When you're that rich, you're supposed to give money to charity, you shouldn't need an hour long circle **** about you as an excuse to raise money for charity.

If you connect the labels he chose for himself to what he actually did, he did nothing. Not unless you consider getting swept in the finals and getting knocked out of the playoffs with the number one seed in your conference makes one worthy of being called "the king" or "the chosen one". I tend to attach more to the labels of king and "chosen one". Based on what he has actually done he should be called prince (he had potential to be a king and he did win some battles for clvnd) or traitor (see game 5 of the playoffs against boston). A king would be Eli Manning in 2007, baby!

I don't think it's a big deal, but people are putting way too much into how Lebron left. He is gone...I don't see how this matters.

Oh you mean his legacy? If he wins 5 championships he will be considered like Kobe/MJ...If not...It would be the same out come he would have in Cleveland.

Even though MJ did not leave...Do you honestly think he would win jack without Scottie and the rest of his staff?

lol. So he did it for boys and girls club. That is good enough reason for me. I've volunteered for the boys and girls club several times. I'm happy he used his fame to generate money for these kids. Saying he doesn't need to do fund raisers to give to charity for kids because he is already wealthy is a cop out, Period. Rich people do it all the time.
