Re: The LeBron James Thread
According to a person close to Dwyane Wade, the Heat's guard was "stunned" when LeBron James decided to join him in Miami last summer.
Wade had been heavily involved in recruiting efforts but ultimately did not expect James to go through with it and sign with the Heat.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
If bad habits get rewarded, people never interpret them as bad habits. The people surrounding and advising James are just as devoid of mature perspective as James. They’ve been blessed with a gift (James) so talented they can’t recognize their flaws, either. Their flaws, in their minds, have no real consequences, especially none that can’t be explained away by racism or “haterade.”#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
In regards to the investigation, Gilbert definitely better not talk about losing money and having to cut jobs later on this year or next because that is clearly a waste. They need to let the talent leave and just refocus on a new strategy.
I honestly hope that the fans boo James. I wouldn't give him respect for his actions and lies. He did them wrong. i don't condone them doing anything physical to harm the boy but they do need to let it be known that they don't appreciate his childish antics. That's just what I think. Maybe I'm not as mature as I thought but as a fan, I keep my feelings about the sport on the court and in the arena.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Honestly I don't see what Cleveland gets out of any possible tampering case. We all pretty much know how it went down, I don't think going through the trouble of a tampering case is worth it. Gilbert's obviously never heard of being the bigger man, he's doing a good job of making LeBron look good, which has been hard to do these past 6 months or so.Comment

I don't know either. Gilbert is a scorned woman - just stay out of his damn way. Dude hasn't acted rationally since the comic sans incident."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Tampering is pretty serious stuff, which is why the NBA cracks down hard on those offenders.
Either way, I'm glad Gilbert isn't letting it rest. Anything to show what really went on is fine by me. Show how much of a fake LeBron really was. Destroy his brand and any of his fans.
LeBron had fun at Cleveland's expense this summer. Time for Cleveland to have some fun at LeBron's expense.
Cannot wait for tonight *it's now officially tonight.* It'll be fun to mentally gut him the way he did us. It'd be even more sweet if we won, but since that's unlikely, I'll settle with getting under his skin and mentally hurting him.Too Old To Game Club

How do we know that a crime wasn't committed?

Re: The LeBron James Thread
In taking this all into perspective, I have to say that Cleveland had it coming when they decided to over cater to Lebron James. I look at other organizations in the league and realize that this seem to be the biggest free agency leave ever in the league right? What I mean is that a city is this hurt and an organization is that pressed to make an athlete miserable for his decision. I know he left in a straight gutter way but the fact that they made him so complacent in doing what he wanted once he stepped into the league really continues to make me more neutral on this situation.
I was all for the Cavs in this situation until I sat back and analyzed the more professionally efficient franchises. Can anyone tell me out of the other franchises in the league, which one could you see being along the same storyline as this one? Los Angeles? Chicago? San Antonio? Utah? Phoenix? I'm just throwing out a few of thoughts out there and can't see teams who have gutted their whole identity to take on the identity of a boy who barely played against even competition. The Cavs got rid of Silas which seemed to be a solid coach in my opinion. They gutted the squad. They allowed James' entourage to come and go as they pleased. In knowing some of the stuff that goes on with other franchises, I don't see this as being the most sensible way to have run the franchise. Though Lebron has talent, I can't see him being bigger than the team like the Cavs presented him. I know he was marketable but maybe it's the stubbornness in me.
If I'm misunderstood, I compare the Thunder and the Cavs. I hope that clarifies a little bit more of what I'm saying........Comment
