    Dang people were saying that?

I know people were blaming LeBron for not "recruiting" but who said that? That's just a foolish and unfounded thing to say IMO.

And I also think it's somewhat foolish to blame James for not "recruiting". On one hand you have to take into account that players don't make the best GM's, on the other you have people criticizing James for not making phone calls.

    It can't go both ways.

If I was at the game. I would clap once they announced his name during the line-up. But once the game started... I would boo my lungs out... And cheer in the fourth if he takes the game over.

I still don't 100% believe Amare was on the table for Cleveland, and I think Jamison was the only option out there for them.

Just because Amare was 'on board to stay in Cleveland' doesn't mean Kerr was on board with trading him for JJ freakin Hickson.
Why not? There's too much smoke there for this to just be made up out of nothing. The Suns probably felt strongly that they weren't going to pay Amare what he wanted to stay, so why is it so out of the realm of possibility that they would look to deal him before the deadline in order to not be left with nothing when he left?

And yeah they were a playoff team, but at the time they probably weren't even one of the top 6 favorites to come out of the West, so there would have been no big loss in that respect. I just don't see why you think it's so unfathomable that the Suns were shopping Amare prior to the deadline.

Why not? Because when you have the choice between Antwan Jamison and Amare, there is not a choice.

I don't care whether or not anyone believes James had a say in which guy Cleveland should have taken.

Too much smoke? Trade deadlines tend to cause excessive amounts of smoke. Everything is a smokescreen during that time. In the end, like I said I believe Kerr got cold feet and stuck to his guns. He flirted with JJ Hickson in hopes that another team would ante up but nobody else did.. therefore no trade.

Also I'm expecting LeBron to drop 30, 8, and 6. Especially if Wade is in relax mode (Like the last 2-3 games).

I enjoyed the success and all the time up until we got bounced from the 2008-2009 playoffs.

Everything after that was very...meh for me.

Nah I meant the folks saying players didnt commit to come to CLE because LeBron wouldn't commit as if a player would just not go to a spot he wanted to go to anyway.

I do agree with you though, you can't have it both ways but then again everything is now irrational when it comes to LeBron so it doesnt even matter.

People have lost their minds about this kid at this point

                    Re: The LeBron James Thread

I'm probably alone when I say this; but I've pretty much gotten over him leaving. Sure he left like a tool and I hated him for that but it's been half a year now and I just really don't care anymore. I still don't like him, don't get me wrong, and I'll boo him until I run out of breath but I'm not gonna stone him to death or anything.

I mean, we didn't win a championship while he was here so what's the difference now?

Just needed to get this off my chest.

Stoudemire has been a force at both ends of the court, and the Knicks are 10-9 heading into Friday's game at New Orleans. The franchise has not been above .500 this late in the season since January of '06.

It should just say Amar'e has been a force.

What time does the game start?

Well, I hate the NBA and don't watch the Finals. I will be watching at least the beginning of this, though. That should tell you something.
