Good post man. That's a really good job putting into words what that did to the city and exactly what I was thinking. Originally I didn't think it was a big deal, that it would really be this big crushing thing that guys from Cleveland were talking about. Then I actually watched "The Decision." It was cold and calculating cause dude made sure that cameras were set up in Cleveland to capture they're exact moment, they're exact reaction when he stabbed them right in the heart and to make matters worse....cameras were right there in Miami to see the suckiest fanbase in all of sports jumping around celebrating and going nuts about his decision as soon as they were done showing Cleveland fans crying and just looking as if they'd been kicked right in the balls.
It doesn't help that everything leading up to "The Decision" just wasn't right. The quitting thing and even though at the time I LOLed at it, the whole Joakim Noah/Cleveland deal. It's like LeBron intentionally made his hometown team a complete joke. Showing up to Browns games in Cowboys hats or Indians games with Yankee stuff on, never taking the time to squash all the speculation about whether he was going to stay or not so that he could continue building up the hype for his BS special. Not talking to anybody in the organization at all prior to the show and even then he wasn't the one that called just before the announcement.
Like I said earlier, what LeBron did was essentially be the girlfriend who goes on tv with her boyfriend and dumps him while completely dissing his ability and equipment in the bedroom while EVERYONE is watching.
