It was a double (on the way) but he could have pulled up and shot no problem.

I don't have a problem with this at all. Don't think there's a legitimate argument to the contrary. I seriously don't believe there is a studious basketball fan that honestly believes those Cavs teams were built to win championships. His failure to get it done last year is the only one that really counts. He had the best team and lost in a way thats not defensible. Bottom line.

If they don't get it done this year, his legacy will be almost set in stone. Fair or not.

Finally watched the game. Spoelstra called that play during the timeout. He wanted LBJ in a pick and roll situation with the option to pass. I think the far better call was to straight iso and let the chips fall wherever. In any case, he got the ball to a wide open Haslem. In all honesty, I don't think you put the fate of the game in the hands of a guy who has 4 points and isn't playing particularly well. Thats a bad decision on both Spoelstra and LBJ's parts. Right basketball play in terms of x's and o's, wrong when it comes to context.

As Stacey King says, KYP, Know Your Personnel. If the open man is say Joel Anthony or Ben Wallace or someone like that, it's a bad decision. However since Haslem can hit that shot, I have a hard time saying it was a bad decision. What makes it a difficult set of circumstances is the fact that Haslem had been playing horribly last night and only had 4 points and it's a game winning situation, so I can understand the criticsm. In the end, LeBron was trying to make the right play.

It wasn't a bad decision at all. It was the play being followed to script.

Wasn't his legacy set in stone when he gave up against the celtics in his final cavs year? Where he just turned off his desire to play and let the cavs lose 3 consecutive close games?

In my opinion, LeBron was never mature enough to be a legendary athlete, he was just physically gifted. He'll be remembered for his athleticism. I hope he never wins a championship in his career.

I guess I can understand the thing about Haslem playing bad earlier in the game. But you can have a bad game and still make the plays in the 4th.

Ricky Rubio was 0-10 before he hit the game-tying 3 against the Clippers.

I really don't get the LeBron hate. He's pretty much damned if he does, damned if he doesn't for the rest of his career. To me, he made the right basketball play. There's no reason to believe "he's not clutch" because he didn't take the last shot. What about him going insane in the 4th to get them back in the game? You would think he's never hit a game winner with the way some people get to talking.

I won't bother arguing about whether or not he should have taken that shot. All I'll say is it's crazy how similar that whole scenario was to the All-Star game. Even down to the ridiculously difficult 3 pointer.

I realise that he was 8 out of 9 in the 4th quarter, but Haslem is a good player who can hit the jumper from there a lot of the time.

I tell you guys what will be really interesting... the next time James gets the ball on the last play of the game, if he takes a difficult shot (which he is now more likely to do based on the backlash from the media) and misses, then we will see the reaction from media and fans alike.

If anyone dares say "he should have passed it", then they should question their own sanity. Unless the open man is Wade, then there should be NO criticism directed at LeBron. Let's face it, the media have pressured and pressured him over this, so if he screws up next time, then it should be all on them.

I actually think LeBron has handled himself really well throughout all this. He does seem to be maturing this season.

OK everybody gone have their OWN opinion about Lebron and peersonally I would of liked him to take that shot but then again u have 2 know what kind of player Lebron is he is a 6'8 250lb pg that plays sf and can score

alot of scenerios would have went on about that one play alone

1.He passed up the shot=should have shot it
2.He took the shot and missed=should have passed
3.he made it=lack luster defense or lucky shot or traveled

ppl who dont like Lebron will come up with anything ever since he came 2 MIAMI

if he was still in CLEVELAND
1.He passed up the shot=trying 2 get teammates involved
2.He took the shot and missed=he got fouled
3he made it=He's the best and he's clutch

by the way THE DECISION wasnt bad .... and people in CLEVELAND saying all this stuff about like he did NOTHING for them ... ARE YOU SERIOUS lol I only like 2 players on CLEVELAND and thats Kyrie and Thompson

He put Cleveland on the map took yall 2 the FINALS they didnt have anybody who could score but lets see MO and WEST ..... but had no BIG MAN ... they got SHAQ when he was about 2 retire and got JAMISON what was he really gunna do for them

LeBron was their PG,SG,SF,PF,C SMH lol

He was their for 8 years playing with average - below average players

and for Chris Bosh ... toronto fans should be ashamed of them selves
