People embrace winners like it funny. New York media absolutely destroyed Alex Rodriguez. Yankees win with him ”omg he's da bestest.”

Winning solves everything it's human nature. One minute Peyton Manning is another Dan Marino, the next he's a quarterback god. Winning changes perceptions.

Kobe couldn't win without Shaq, now he's a top 5-10 (deservedly so) player of all time. Idk if you're too young but winning changes everything.

Well... I'll just do this before this turns into a back and forth bickering and not debating.

      In My opinion:

If you're winning, and you're humble, and you try your best, every game, know your role, play it well, and appreciate the fans.... People on OS love you . lol ... I say OS, because everyone out side of OS....all they see is jump and dunk.

Now, if you're winning, but you're an absolute dick, management doesn't really like you, you're selfish, don't really care about the fans, always making up excuses... I think that a majority of people don't really like you.

      Thats my take on it.

Bad example. A-Rod has still yet to be fully accepted in New York or at least nationally. From the popcorn thing, to the pictures kissing his reflection in the mirror on, Alex is still the butt of jokes nationwide and in New York. The lastest being him going to restaurants with his own food and asking the waiters to heat it for him.

We also need to stop saying LBJ is going to eventually win a title because he's 27. So is Carmelo, how many people say he's just going to win a title? Patrick Ewing was 27 at one point and never saw one. Just cause he's young doesn't mean he's going to win one.

The overall feeling about LBJ winning a title comes from the fact he's the best player on the best team now. Which is usually the prerequisite.

            Agreed.

Age has nothing to do with it. All about the will and desire.

Alot of guys in the allstars in the league.. and superstars aren't gonna win one title. which sucks...

They, together as a team, have alot of bumpy roads coming up in the playoffs.

I sense a real big upset this year.

Gonna suck for him if it happens.

He'll recieve so much **** from the media.

That'll be the measure of him and rightfully so. All of the All-Time greats had to overcome some adversity even though they had the talent advantage. Now is its his turn, no more excuses. If he still can't get it done then he's just not what he and alot of people believe his is.

Anyway ... New article about Lebron not really being the answer for this team to win

I know where it's coming from, but that's not a guarantee that we just KNOW he's GOING to win a title eventually in his career. If they don't win this year they've got possibly one more shot together because they can opt out after next season and don't think for a second LeBron wouldn't quit cause this is harder than he thought. We've seen that movie already as well. For the record, I do think he'll get his ring, just a little burnt out of this notion that it's just GOING to happen because he's only 22 or 25 or now 27.

                      Man, please let's be real.

If Lebron wins one ring and does it where he actually shows up for a full 4 quarters and not 3 like he did last year, outside of "The Decision" people will start to look over the other nonsense he brought on himself over time.

Hell, look at Jordan. Probably the biggest ***hole in Sports but yet everyone loved him and why? Because he won.

Difference is, people didn't know Jordan was an ******* until after the fact. Dude has done a masterful job in crafting and maintaining his image. People weren't overlooking him being what he was because of rings, they just weren't aware of it because he was like Fort Knox in keeping that **** concealed.

Jordan really was a first class douche about a lot of things. Kobe is worse though I believe.

Again, Kobe has been hated for a loooooong time his rings doing nothing to hide it. LeBron has single handedly made people overlook why they hate Kobe though because they so desperately want someone to beat LeBron.
