I agree. Lebron covers more territory than MJ, and can guard different positions.

Re: Where does LeBron rank all-time?

A bunch of guys have posted great numbers. Few can claim to be as dominating ad Lebron is, and even fewer can claim to be complete players like Lebron.

speed, agility, strength, vision, shooting ability, rebounding, penetration ability, passing, defending, ability to create your own shot, etc...A lot of guys can put up good numbers for their positions. How many can you point to and say he has the skills to play any of the 1-4 positions and still be great? That versatility gives him a dynamic that no other player in the league has.

Did he just say Rondo can drop 40 on any given night?

Come on man... some shaky arguments in here.

It's funny because when MJ was playing you would hear people compare him to Dr. J, Oscar Robertson, etc and people would say the exact same thing you just said. It's an endless cycle...

The real thing that got me is that in his comments, he said he would say LeBron because he is also great on the defensive end...did he forget that Jordan was 9 or 10 time first team all defense (when that honor actually meant something and went to the best defenders). Not to mention Jordan's ranks among all time in steals and all time in blocks (if I'm correct, he's top 5 in steals and is the only guard in the top 100 in blocks)

I do find it funny that it's Pippen, the guy who without Jordan would never have been ranked as a "top 50 player of all time".

Seriously. Paul and Rondo don't even average 20 a game. Has Rondo ever scored 40 in a game? Last I knew his career high was 32.

And how many times has Paul scored 40? Twice?

Well MJ would not have gotten 6 titles without Pippen. Pip has HOF game he just got overshadowed by MJ. Another thing he proved it when MJ tried to play baseball in 93-94 season he led the bulls to 2nd round game 7 versus the Knicks where the refs blew a call and kept them out of Eastern Finals.
