Re: The LeBron James Thread
By that definition, Lebron had the help needed to win? Come on now. I agree it takes more than one player to win a championship, it does take a team. But every team has a leader and a guy they can go to in the clutch, and Dirk was that for them throughout the playoffs.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Your using this type of logic? That means Lebron must of had help as well, despite what others were saying. Z, Shaq, Jamison, Mo, Ben Wallace and Wally were all star players at one point in their career.

LeBron wasn't going to win a ring with a bunch of washed up players... former all star doesn't = washed up at the end of your career
Kidd was still one of the best PG's in the league and Marion still one of the best defensive wings...among other things Dirk had on his squadComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Im not saying LeBron had help, I was specifically talking about Dirk

They were FORMER all stars, while Dirk is an all star and one of the best players at his position. That is what Im getting at. Kidd and Marion meant a lot to their championship run, but they dont win without Dirk playing the way he did.
Kidd was a good PG, but not one of the best in the league. Marion is great defensively, but Chandler and Stevenson were just as important on defense for them during their championship run and neither of them were all stars.
Mo and Jamison were washed up? Id considered Mo right now is still in his prime, while Jamison was still productive(still is now). Shaq washed up, but still produced. Ben Wallace was a big for us when healthy, he helped sure up most of the weaknesses we had inside and our overall defense. Wally was of no help IMO.Comment

I know you didnt, but this thread is about Lebron, so I tried to keep on topic some what lol. What I meant by it was the logic of them being former all stars doesnt mean that a player had help.

The Heat getting smashed the way they were by Dallas is really on the only playoff failure I think can be fairly place on his lone shoulders. He had the better team and because he never took the time improve certain areas of his game the Mavs were able to use a defense that had no business being so successful.

Ok? He said Hakeem won 2 championships with only role players around him. Drexler was a big part of the team during that 95 championship run. Who cares if he was only there for half the season.Comment
