Re: The LeBron James Thread
I really like when Spo puts Bron at point and has Miller, Battier, UD, and Anthony. I still think Spo is saving the Wade-James Pick and Roll for the Finals. Can anyone tell me how you would guard that?"To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Leave one of the other three guys on the floor WIDE OPEN. That would be the only way to get it out of their hands. Disrupting Wade would be the other option, but that's not particularly reliable.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks

NHL: Dallas Stars

Any other team, it'd be unstoppable.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Y'know, imagine if the Heat had a Matt Bonner type player. Put him on the court with Bosh, you can rotate both big men outside the paint and open up isos for LeBron and Wade all game long....Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
There'd be few offensive rebounds, but they wouldnt be necessary since most of the shots would be going in the basket.
The real downside would be the loss of Anthony's defense, but its just a crazy offensive theory anyway.Originally posted by Kaiser Wilhelmthere should not be ties occurring in the NFL except when neither team wins the game.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Not to mention, something like setting a screen and rolling may be the only time a player like Anthony is better than Wade and James. Using the two of them in screen and rolls doesn't maximize the strengths of everyone on the floor, including whoever's screening.Comment

I'd actually like to see what their efficiency is when using it, because it seems to work quite often when they do it....
Maybe it's not something you run all game for the reasons mentioned...but it should be done more often IMO...Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Using the pick and roll? It should be a standard of their half court offense. Using both Lebron and Wade in the same pick and roll? Can't remember that being run really at all, and don't think it'd be all that effective unless a team really gets caught off guard by it.Comment

I mean the LBJ and Wade P&R.....and yep, just about every time I've seen it, something good has come of it....I bet the stats would support that, but I have none....It seems like they use it in desperation almost
The commentators usually start raving about how they should do it more often every time they do it....lolComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Neither of these two excel as screeners in the situation you're talking about. There's a reason they haven't done it much, if at all to this point (doesn't make sense to save anything for the finals). It would actually make double teaming the dribbler easier bc the rotation naturally guards the other. With someone else as the screener, whoever isn't dribbling would be on the wing and can spot up or cut to the open spot when the defense rotates.

I agree with you but imagine Wade coming off a James screen, Wade cuts to the middle, Bron rolls towards the goal, and a shooter/Bosh leaks out to high post. Wide open shot every time."To the last minute, to the last second, to the last man, we fight"Comment
