Man ain't nobody telling you how to be a fan. I gave my opinion on why I don't personally like it. You're gonna do what you do, I didn't tell you do it my way or go.
And I say it defeats the purpose of fandom because this isn't golf or tennis where rooting solely for individuals and their success is the point. It's TEAM sports. The outcome for the team is supposed to be the endgame and most important thing. Plus, I just think it's nuts that if a guy you like spends 4 years+ on a team and you're not STILL watching every single game of every team and not fully invested in any other teams how you don't grow some kind of emotional attachment to a certain team. LeBron spent 8 years in Cleveland, it's crazy to me how you (not YOU specifically mind you) can somehow not give a **** about that franchise for 8 years while you're following him and just pick up and leave with him and not have found anything or anybody else there that keeps some kind of investment in that franchise moving forward. It's just basic human nature to not really be welcoming to somebody who doesn't go through any downs with you but comes running to celebrate your ups and then the second you hit a down again, they walk away from you and don't even look back in your direction as you're at your lowest again. That's why people look down on bandwagoners so much.
