Depends on what the CBA is after next year, which I think is up after 2011. And from what i was reading, the owners are trying to push a 'hard cap' in the new CBA, the one that the NFL has.

So if that's the case, Rose and Noah is all but gone after their contracts expire because the Bulls would not be able to afford them with LeBron and Bosh on the roster.

But if it's the same, with the 'Bird rights' expect them to re-sign and be a championship contending team for years to come.

Your talking to a brick wall trying to explain. There has been numerous people who explained that to him and I just don't think that he gets it.

        I agree.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part but I just have this feeling it's going to happen.

Don't backhand me. I just don't see how the Bulls have more history and prestige than the Knicks.

All I asked was to explain and I'll fall back. I didn't ask for a smart butt comment.

Rose will need to be re-signed in another year to a max deal. Noah will command a lot of money as well. So you'll then have 4 massive contracts on that team.
4 max deals plus Deng's contract would put them into luxury tax territory, something the Bulls have not been willing to pay in the past.

Wasn't trying to back hand you. BUT your gif of Simon Cowell was more of a backhanded response than what I said.

First things first, in regards to franchise prestige. The Bulls have 6 championships, the Knicks have 2. The only teams to win three titles in a row is the Lakers, Celtics and Bulls. So that takes care of that. End of story.

Secondly, your taking this thing way out of context on the subject matter of this thread. This is about where LeBron is going. And yes, the Bulls and Knicks are a possibility, which is why the context of your discussion might warrant SOME talk. But your taking it to the extreme and just ignoring the explanations that me and others in this thread have been trying to tell you. And not to say who's right and who's wrong but the previous numbers I stated doesn't lie. No matter what era your referring to. Championships are championships.

But if all is good, I'm going to steer away from trying to explain franchise prestige. Because in the end, it won't matter to LeBron and his advisers.

Yeah, that's what cost them Pau Gasol when the Grizz was trying to trade him to the Bulls. Reinsdorf didn't want to pay the luxury tax and that's why he went to LA.

The Lakers should have cut a check to the Bulls for those two championships they recently won.

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread

i think its kind of corny for Lebron to join up with a league of super friends to win a championship. it makes "King James" look pretty inept. i think it will be more damaging to his legacy as a player than if he never wins a championship.

Barkley never won but his greatness is undeniable. I can't stand Karl Malone but the same holds true for him as well.

I'm sure both of these guys would have done the same thing that lebron and wade are attempting to do if they thought it would result in a championship. but Barkley or Malone never tried to establish themselves as the GOAT as Lebron would like to. If it takes all this collusion for Lebron to win a championship, in my mind he will forever forfeit his rights to any future "GOAT" claims.

Rose won't need a new contract till 2013/2014 season and Noah till 2012/2013 season.

But when has "history and prestige" really played THAT big of a factor in a FA's decision making? The 90s?

You forget that we live in a "What have you done lately" society so I doubt it'll play that much, if not any role in this, in regards to NY and Chicago.

Hmm. So, going by your logic, the Miami Dolphins are more prestigious than the Chicago Bears. Quite Interesting.

That and the fact for some reason they didn't really want to ship Deng. They wanted to give them Thomas and Nocioni.

That's true but you honestly think they're gonna wait til their contracts are up before they start asking for a new deal? Hell I can see Noah just going to Reinsdorf and saying "I want to be the highest paid Center in the League. Make it happen or ELSE!!!".

You have yet to explain how a team that won 6 championships is less prestigious than a team that hasn't won in almost 40. Has been a joke in the last 8 or so. And why all this matters. It is not like Chicago is the Iowa Bulls.

Either way it is obvious you won't change your opinion so there is no point to continue this.

Neither Rose or Noah seem like the kind of guys that will cause problems and there's no doubt Rose will get paid. If Noah wants to be the highest paid center in the league than he better make his post game into one as well.
