If he makes the announcement in the state of Ohio, then I'm with you. If he makes it on a neutral site outside of Ohio, then I'm sure he won't be back in Cleveland.

If he goes on National TV and tells the world he is leaving Cleveland, he won't be allowed back in Cleveland.

He'd go soaring past Modell to #1 most hated sports figure in Cleveland. He'd clear him by several levels of hate.

He might just do it on a private jet so that way if he announces he's going to another team, he could just tell the Pilot to "Get the movin', Captain".

Maybe he's just trying to become one of the biggest villians in NBA history.

I see him sitting down next to Gilbert and Scott and announcing that Cleveland is his home and he could never leave it. When suddenly Amare comes running in and knocks out Scott and Donnie Walsh wheels in and runs over Gilbert, as Lebron stands up and rips off his suit to reveal a Knicks jersey, while Empire State of Mind blares through the speakers.

This dude is a marketing genius though. He could sell a bag of dog poop to a germaphobe. After all this hoopla over this thing, people are now speculating what the location of where he is when he makes his announcement will mean in regards to the announcement. LeBron is one bad mofo. He said all along his team had a plan and they'd execute. I wanna buy some LBJ branded stuff right now after all this selling.

Interesting timing that this is announced tonight, after a day full of "Bosh won't go to Cleveland" stuff. That can't be viewed as a good sign - that or it's a smoke screen and they agreed to a deal tonight and it solidified LBJ staying in Cleveland.

The more I think about that it makes me even more confused. I honestly have zero clue where he goes. The only place that would truly shock me is if he went to Miami (Clips are obv out of the equation).

People are buying this because arguably the best basketball player on the planet is choosing where to play basketball at for the forseeable future.

IMO, I have less of an opinion of him than I did before all of this crap. I'm sure a lot more feel and will feel the same way after this is over. I definitely wouldn't say this helped his brand all that much. Especially with the diehard NBA fan.

Even better, he's going to put a spin on the hat picking. He's going to do it Old Spice "I'm on a horse" style. He's going to start off with a team's cap looking like he's sitting down in front of a table and a background similar to that team's home arena like he's there, then he'll get to a certain part of his speech and the background will raise up and the table disappears and shows him standing behind a podium with a different hat and background and he'll finish with one more scene change and say "I'm a Cav/Bull/Knick/Net.

As for filling the hour, I'm telling you Bosh and Wade are gonna announce on this special too. That's what the "summit" was all about man. How they can make paper from signing contracts to make more paper.

Like I said before on these forums, I could very easily see Lebron pulling the old "Hulk Hogan turns Heel" routine on everyone and if folks don't remember that then here ya go lol:

Just imagine Lebron as Hogan, Macho Man as the Cavs and Hall and Nash as the Knicks/Bulls/Nets(whichever team is yours lol).

I think he should have the press conference fed through a webcam, no reporters or ESPN ppl/equipment there. Keep his location secret. And he's standing in front of a black curtain and whips open the curtain and it's the skyline of whatever city he's chosen (as in he's in a penthouse suite at a hotel in the city he's going to). The curtain opens, he looks down on the city he's about to own.

Only problem with that plan is that if he choses Cleveland and opens the curtain 99% of America won't have a clue where the **** he is.

LeBron is not an idiot. I think he knows if he goes on live TV and says "I'm outta here" he's done irreparable damage to his image and name in Ohio.

That being said...I could very well see him going up there and saying he's leaving. My head and gut says Cleveland, my heart says Chicago or NY.
