Sorry dude, I wasn't tryin to diss OH with that one, honestly. I'm just saying that's generally the feeling in the hood that aren't really on the map. Guys don't hate you for leaving really, they'd be upset obviously, but not hating you and you can never come home. They're usually just happy to see one of their own make it. Maybe it is different for OH, but a hood is a hood, there isn't much difference in hoods from from city to city.

Alt & Bull fans...how has the confidence level in your local media & fans been the last few days? Things have seemed quiet on your front lately.

Deng never got moved, seems like Bosh is out of the picture. There has been no talk of Boozer yet (and rightfully so) - does LBJ go to the Bulls without another big gun? Personally I think David Lee would fit in really well there and they should be able to afford him but I don't know if that's enough to attract LBJ and signing him obviously wouldn't happen before Thurs at 9.

There is a difference between seeing one of their own make it and seeing one of their own go into public, spit in their face then leave.

For true NBA fans it's debatable, but for the media and for getting casual viewers like those who only tune in for Bos/LA or haven't watched the NBA since MJ retired - Chi or NY would definitely add viewership and the media would blow it up to an outrageous level.

If he leaves Akron will not hate him, if anything they will embrace his decision because you know damn well he will always give back to Akron no matter where he goes.

You think selling sponsorships during this hour show with proceeds going to Boys & Girls Club of America is a coincidence. Trust me James knows exactly what he's doing. He's not turning his back on Akron or Cleveland, he's making a decision that will help secure his future for him & his family.

The time has come for the BOY to become a MAN & leaving home is that step.

I think that's being a little melodramatic. It's not like he's bailing on a team that's easily a better fit/situation than other possible suitors or that he's leaving without having tried for nearly a decade.

People have gone into pessimist mode as far as fans. The media is still trying to be confident, but the plan C talk has come up in the last two days I believe. Plan B was JJ and Boozer, but Atlanta screwed that up. People just want to get someone now who can make this team better. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bulls pull one more last minute rabbit out of the hat like that draft day move to get Hinrich off the books. If they can get that done, things could be really interesting before Thursday, they'll probably panic and pull the trigger on something cause they don't want 2000 all over, especially with that Melo piece looking less and less likely for next year.

I'm really hoping that the Bulls get a little cheap and take a look at the "consolation prize" known as David Lee (people still won't give him his props around the league).

Personally, I'm no too worried about us attracting LBJ but it looks like any max FA we bring in, if any, is taking touches away from Rose and since our best two-guard option (JJ) is back with Atlanta now, and Bosh looking to follow Bron wherever he goes, and/or sit behind his Twitter all day, seems like Boozer/Lee is the only current guarantee. And even that isn't too solid in my opinion. There was also talk of the Knicks involving Lee in a sign-and-trade as well, so he might be out of the question as well.

I've heard nothing about anyone in the past few days but hopefully something happens before or after Thursday.

I've got no idea what's going to happen.

I disagree with everything you are saying.

I want to say that if he were to not do this on live TV, there would have been no problems at all. The fact that he is taking over an hour of the most famous sports programming channel in history and would say that he is leaving the Cavaliers will bring out a lot more anger and whiplash than if he just released it and bolted.

Yeah, I'm having trouble seeing LBJ heading to Chicago right now - though that could all change with an announcement tomorrow that Boozer/Lee agreed in principle with y'all. Just wanted to know what the consensus was out in Chicago.

I know Bosh was a key to Chicago landing LBJ but I don't think y'all are in bad shape at all if you can get a...

                              Rose
                              M. Miller/Ray Ray
                              Deng
                              Lee
                              Noah

Keeping Noah, signing Lee for less $ is probably a better option than getting Bosh - though it obviously means no LBJ. A big upgrade at PF and a pretty good upgrade at SG, while keeping your young pieces.

I truly feel sorry for the individuals in Akron if LeBron leaving hurts them that much, especially if he's leaving for a better situation. I'd suggest they find interest outside of LeBron's life.
