    2. LeBron says "I'm going to MSG...I'm going to put New York basketball back on the world stage". Massive challenge if he does.

    3. LeBron says "Hey, I'm going to cruise my career out riding D-Wade down the stretch of games, no need for 30-10-10 type numbers when you can put up 20 points and 6 and ride Wade half the week, feed Bosh the other week and cruise through 90% of the season".

Honestly, I just don't see an MVP calibre player taking the soft option right in the middle of his career. This isn't Karl and GP jumping on other players backs in their late 30s.........this is the MVP in his prime riding a coat tail.

    No way it happens.

So when The Celtics added an in his prime Dennis Johnson from Seattle to play along with Robert Parrish and Kevin McChale, Larry Bird legacy lost some shine?

The Sonics are not even a team anymore, the T'Wolves had begun their current losing ways, and neither player has a direct connection to any of the teams they previously played for.

Neither am I. If everyone is right and LeBron is really into his brand and image, he's killing it teaming up in Miami. He looks like a villain for giving Ohio Sports another heartbreaking event, he plays in front of a generally uncaring fanbase, and he plays with players who don't complement him well so it will be difficult to win a championship. I don't buy it just yet.

Me either. Lebron can't be that stupid and short sighted. If he leaves clvnd for miami, he would be one of the biggest cowards to ever play sports and he should drop the king from his name immediately! (although he should do it anyway). Based on all that I have observed, he is going to stay in clvnd, book it! Everything else is a smoke screen.

Ray Allen and KG both were stating what teams that would and wouldn't resign with, thus making it hard for Seattle and T Wolves respectfully to trade them. Its the same concept.

Simplistic way of looking at it.

Paul Pierce had to convince him.

Nice selective history giving there. Garnett had wasted his prime in Minnesota and they were doing absolutely NOTHING to put a decent team around him. Even when he did accept that trade to Boston, it only happen after EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE in the league and his inner circle finally convinced him to stop being loyal to a team who wasn't being loyal to him (not in the sense that they were actually trying to do anything with his career)

I don't buy the whole Wade and Bosh will take less money for this. Wade is getting the max and Bosh wants a sign and trade still. Meaning both will get the 6 year 120 mil deals. Just don't buy it that both will take less money to get LeBron.

No I'm dead serious. How about the Yankees are they not one of the best known brands, and have the most championships? Don't guys in their primes run to the Yankees so they can WIN?

Dennis Johnson was not an MVP candidate. Lebron and Wade are top 3 players in the league, and Bosh is top 3(at worst) at his position. This is about the perfect storm. You have an reigning MVP on a 60+ win team who appeared to quit on that team in the playoffs, leaving his home town to join another MVP candidate with another top 10 player on that team. Not in a trade, there is no player being drafted into this situation. Lebron would be opting out. Jumping ship.

And again, he's not leaving a losing situation in the least. His team had the best record in the NBA last year. He's folding on a good hand because he's scared if he goes to Miami.

Wouldn't the knicks be in the same boat if Lebron decided to join. You have basically Bosh-Wade vs Stoudamire-Lebron, fill in the vets for either team. That would be an amazing rivalry to watch, Heat-Knicks back again.
