      Interesting?
It has already been taken down. I guess Czar Stern found out about it.

As much I loved Mark Price when I was younger, that dude was always better.
That word arguably was thrown in there. Price was right there... but I'd take Stockton too.

And also, I moved to Virginia 10 years ago.

Meanwhile, they used to be relevant. There was indeed a time when the Cavaliers were extremely good. However, it was over a decade before they drafted LeBron, and after they fell off in the early 90's, their popularity tailed off dramatically.
This isn't a comment on your personality or anything else but that's the comment of the New Yorkers everyone hates. The world doesn't begin and end with NYC. Sorry, the Knicks aren't relevant bc they play in NY. The Yankees maybe... all those rings probably help. Not the Knicks.

The conversation you jumped in on was about the Cavs "never" being relevant. Your response says otherwise. And still, the Knicks have been equally as irrelevant more recently as the Cavs in the decade you're talking about.

I really don't see how there is any kind of tangible argument that Price was ever as good as Stockton was.

First, you're right. The world doesn't begin and end with New York City. But here in Virginia, I watch Sportscenter, and what team are they talking about. The Yankees. When they talk about the NBA, it's the Lakers, Celtics, LeBron (not even really the Cavaliers), and then they talk about what the Knicks can do to improve. It's not because of the city itself that the Knicks are relevant necessarily, but because they play there, they are immediately more interesting to talk about. If you moved the Knicks to Anchorage, Alaska, noone would even realize that they exist. It's the same reason people always pick on the Clippers. Do the Knicks and the Clippers both suck? Yes. But are they the worst teams? No. There were 4 teams in the Eastern conferences with worst records than the Knicks. But when is the last time someone talked about the Pistons or 76ers? Even during the season, these teams were worse, but what teams do people pick on? The Knicks and Clippers. Because no matter whether they are winning or losing, they are in markets that the NBA and the country care about. And even when they were great back in the 80's and early 90's, do you really think that the Cavs were as popular as they are now?

Knicks are done with LBJ as per Alan Hahn twitter:

The Knicks held a meeting with LeBron James that was over three hours in length. Afterward, Walsh told the media that he is "cautiously optimistic" but said the meeting was "non-committal." The Knicks' president said he expects another meeting with James. Mike D'Antoni was in a joking mood after the meeting let out. "I can say it, finally: 'LeBron James' and no one can fine me," D'Antoni said. "We hoped we got him in a New York state of mind," D'Antoni said.

Hopefully the extra time spent with LBJ keeps him thinking

Well, it's better than LBJ telling us to go eff ourselves from jump street.

I guess ESPN Radio in Cleveland believes it's down to the Knicks and Cavs, just some radio guy's opinion though.

Knicks presented LBJ with two offers:

One was a five-year max contract worth an estimated $95 million, leaving them with space to offer another max deal to either Joe Johnson, Amar'e Stoudemire or Chris Bosh.
The other option -- as reported Tuesday by SI.com -- was to offer James a five-year deal, with a starting base salary of $11.5 million, which would leave room for Johnson and Stoudemire to join James in New York at similar salaries. The Knicks essentially would be counting on James to help recruit them as teammates by convincing them to accept at least $5 million less per year than they could earn elsewhere on the promise of ultimately receiving more income from off-court deals that would be available to them in New York.
I can't believe they actually offered the second option.

That second offer is absolute nonsense. Not only are they expecting the best player in the league to take a paycut, but then they're hoping that two other players will do the same thing. Wow.
