Ya and I know someone is gonna take exception to what I'm posting about LBJ but I'll put it out there. If anyone wants to call me a ha ter so be it I am. I can't stand the dude and I really hope their is not an LBJ era in the NBA. I'd have to stop watching the NBA for a bit.

Well, judging on what just transpired in Game 4, you might have to stop watching the NBA for a while.

Here's the thing about LeBron: he's a showboat. I honestly believe he likes showing off more than he relishes winning. He just made a great hustle play to clinch Game 4 against the Bulls -diving for a loose ball - and how does he respond? By sticking his tongue out and hot dogging like crazy. I turned to my wife and said, "See...right there. That's why nobody likes him anymore."

Hmm...you make a hustle play to guarantee your team goes up 3-1 in the conference finals and you celebrate and that is reason to hate the guy?

Fact is if you don't like Lebron you will find anything to, big or small, point at and say "see that's why I don't like him". It's the same for anyone, but Lebron being one of the biggest names in the NBA has more cameras on him and is therefore easier to find things to scrutinize.

Perkins and Nate Robinson did it last year in the Finals and the next thing you know, people were calling them "Shrek and Donkey". Just sayin'...

That being said, I've never been on the Hype Wagon that's been dragging along for the last 8-9 years but have always acknowledged that the dude is a beast. But I'm also not gonna keep ragging on the dude for every single negative thing he does because...it gets tiring and honestly, it gets boring as well which is why I don't bother dogging the dude like that anymore.

All I ask from him is one thing though...just win a ring so I don't have to continue to hear anymore Well ifs or What ifs or If he had mess anymore. That's all I ask for, personally.

Personally, I've never had a problem admitting he's the best player in the NBA. And I really don't think anyone can say anything different for at least this year. But the things that LeBron says, and the way he acts is just sooooooo unlikeable. He has the potential to be an icon and a role model, and instead he just comes off as a little kid trapped in a man's body.

For example, even take a guy who's quickly becoming a very criticized player like Russell Westbrook. There's times when you look at his demeanor and it just appears that he wants to be the man and that he's constantly whining and all that, but at least he's real. When things are going well, he genuinely smiles and high fives teammates and laughs. When things go well for LeBron, he pretends he's an awkward teenage girl posing for a Myspace picture sticking his tongue out. When I see Westbrook smiling and laughing, I can genuinely see that he's a very happy person, but when LeBron does it, it all just seems so artificial.

I remember a certain player sticking his tongue out like a douche when playing... yet he is one of the most if not the most loved player in nba history and remembered as the best.

you're just looking for a reason to hate on lebron, after tonight i also hate him less, but most people hate him because you need a player to hate and a player to love

I could just go the easy route and say your a LeBron apologist... but instead I'll agree I am looking for things to hate LeBron for I've already made up my mind looong before the decision. He goes against everything a player should strive to be.

I picture Lebron before each game in his mansion staring into the mirror repeating mirror mirror on the wall.

                    Thats different man, lol.

But it is always funny when a supposed "oldhead" talks about showboating in the NBA when it was pretty much ok to do a endzone celebration after a made basket in the 90's...

I don't like nor dislike LeBron. I'm indifferent. I hardly respect him though, and I hope Dallas wins the title and Durant eclipses him as the best player in the league.(Though I currently believe that title belongs to Dirk). I just feel like he took the easy route, and doesn't deserve the recognition he'll undoubtedly get when he wins a title.

I disagree. Up until "The Decision" and one or 2 incidents in Cleveland Lebron was always heralded as a "good guy" as he always seemed to say the right things. And post "the decision" the only thing you can really point to that makes him seem like a pompous d*** is sometimes talking in 3rd person.

The most 2 most common complaints I hear about him are "I'm taking my talents to Miami" and the press conference where he basically said they were going to be the 90s Bulls but better. In the case of the former it definitely could have been worded better, and in the case of the ladder it honestly seemed more of just having fun and getting fans excited. Afterall that entire press conference was for the Miami fans it wasn't directed at anyone else.

Of coure though this is page 920 of this thread so I'm sure a lot of this has already been said a dozen or so times already.

I don't get how people can say lebron only cares about himself, he doesn't care about winning.... I mean this guy is diving over loose balls, Guarding the leagues mvp and shutting him down with the possibility of getting his ankles cracked. To me it's obvious that Lebron's #1 Goal has always been to win.

I used to be one of those people that said that he just pretends to care about winning, but I'll admit that I was wrong about that. I don't think he really has a #1 goal though. He wants to be a billionaire, he wants to be considered one of the best ever, he wants to win. I don't know. I don't think he really has a #1 goal, but winning is definitely one of his top priorities.

Yeah winning is definitly his number one goal. Thats because he knows that in order to be the best you need mutiple rings.

LBJ yesterday showed why he's the best player in the game & a freak of nature. I mean the man is built like a tank, yet he's guarding D Rose & doing a Helluva job.

Not a big fan of his, but respect is due to the man. As for his antics, it is what it is.
