I'd hope the Bulls, Nets, Knicks and Heat would all be able to put together a presentation that they feel is "front runner" worthy."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Tomorrow is going to suck because work is going to be quiet as hell (already was today) with the holiday coming up. Just going to be wasting away reading rumors online for eight hours. At least once the weekend starts I'll be busy and not sitting on OS for eight hours a day."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
First, you're right. The world doesn't begin and end with New York City. But here in Virginia, I watch Sportscenter, and what team are they talking about. The Yankees. When they talk about the NBA, it's the Lakers, Celtics, LeBron (not even really the Cavaliers), and then they talk about what the Knicks can do to improve. It's not because of the city itself that the Knicks are relevant necessarily, but because they play there, they are immediately more interesting to talk about. If you moved the Knicks to Anchorage, Alaska, noone would even realize that they exist. It's the same reason people always pick on the Clippers. Do the Knicks and the Clippers both suck? Yes. But are they the worst teams? No. There were 4 teams in the Eastern conferences with worst records than the Knicks. But when is the last time someone talked about the Pistons or 76ers? Even during the season, these teams were worse, but what teams do people pick on? The Knicks and Clippers. Because no matter whether they are winning or losing, they are in markets that the NBA and the country care about. And even when they were great back in the 80's and early 90's, do you really think that the Cavs were as popular as they are now?
As for your last point, who said the Cavs were as popular back then as they are now? The discussion was about how they've never been relevant, which is false... and about how irrelevant the Knicks have been recently, which is true.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
As I said in my very last post, the Knicks are NOT the Yankees. Not even close. And the reason they've been talking about the Knicks so much recently is bc Lebron James likes to wear a Yankees hat. Bottom line, they're talking about James. If James and Boozer grew up together and openly talked about wanting to play together for years then all that focus would be on Utah. By the way, when AI was the man there was tons of talk about the 76ers. The NBA is about players... the Knicks have no players to talk about on a national level, and therefore have been irrelevant nationally for some time now.

I'm done arguing the Knicks because I remembered what this is about. Here is my post:
So that is the point. I said that the Cavs were not as relevant as they were when they drafted Lebron. So the argument is about how they were not as relevant nationally as they were when they drafted him.Comment
