Bulls will be last according to sources but no idea if that is today. They would have to fly out of Chicago as they're meeting with Wade.

I'm pretty sure Cleveland is last.

I'm talking about new teams. I doubt Cleveland will go all out like NY or NJ as there is no reason to. He's played there for 7 years.

Trust me when I say that's not true.

The Cavaliers have plastered Banners all over town with messages to LeBron. They literally have gone up over night.

Yeah I saw somewhere else that the Bulls were going to be last today...can't remember exactly where I read it but I could be wrong. Don't think it really matters either way. Gonna be interesting to watch this unfold.

The Bucks were also relevant when they had Lew Alcindor and The Big O. But the Cavaliers were irrelevant for almost a decade before they signed LeBron. This may be because as a Knicks fan in the 90's, the Cavaliers were not a major concern of mine so I didn't look for them, but the Cavaliers were not a big deal on a national stage.
Kinda funny reading a knicks fan criticize another team's relevance over the period of a recent decade.

We're not talking about the days of Oscar Robinson. The Cavs were very relevant... nationally. Much like every other team during the Jordan era, they had a road block stopping them from getting too far. Doughtery and Nance were big time players, Price was arguably the best pg in the league at a time (Kevin Johnson was underrated and still nationally known). Ron Harper was considered the best SG not named Michael Jordan.

Unfortunately for you, that's a very bad point to bring up in this argument for the simple fact that even when we've sucked the last decade, the Knicks have still been relevant and in the national media. The Knicks are always a big story because of where they play, and remain so even when it is for the wrong reason.

Again, there was a point for about 10 years, between '93 and when they drafted LeBron, that the Cavaliers were not a big story and people just didn't care. For a generation of people before the Cavaliers drafted LeBron James, the Cavaliers were only the team that Michael Jordan crushed with "The Shot". People growing up now don't know that the Knicks used to be good and they don't know much about the Knicks at all, but at the end of the day, they still know the Knicks. The Cavaliers for about an entire decade before they drafted LeBron were about as irrelevant as they could have been, and the draft put the spotlight on Cleveland.

                    The Knicks haven't been relevant.

They're only mentioned nationally because they're a toss up with the Clippers as the biggest joke in the league and that they started the "clear all the cap for Lebron" movement.

So was listening to the radio here in the Chi and heard this mentioned, checked it out myself and I'm a little confused. Does anyone else find this odd? No other team has this for their replica jersey picture.

Definitely gets my attention. Although the NBA will do anything to spark sales so that could have something to do with it. It would be less odd if all the teams that were trying to sign LeBron had it but seeing it's only the Bulls is a little weird.

                          Interesting though.

The Bulls really don't need help marketing, they're in the top five in merchandising for the league. Plus as mentioned if all the teams in the running had this I'd be inclined to believe that more, but just one team? Not saying this definitely means anything, but...well come on look at that lol. You can't even put active players names on custom jerseys. So that's odd.

The Knicks have most definitely NOT been relevant. I'm assuming you live in NYC... not sure how you can gauge national relevance considering that.

The NBA was not created in 1993. It's a stretch to say the Cavs were never relevant, even if it's meant as an exaggeration. The time they were good wasn't too different than the last time the Knicks were good. It is what it is.

The minute LeBron James signs with a new team (if he leaves of course) I am ordering his new jersey and going to wear it around town as a sort of social experiment.
