It's not the possibility that he'd be leaving but everyone's gripe is with HOW he's leaving, especially after everything HE's said in the past.

Dude. When you have 3 future Hall of Famers, you are a megastar team.

Pau Gasol may be the best PF in the league, at least in the same breath as Bosh and Dirk.

          Exactly.

But I guess they'll always be remembered as the worst 60 win team in NBA History.

So Bron is going to play robin to Wade's batman and to Bosh's batgirl. This whole thing has been kinda moist to me.

No he may not. One OF but he's definitely not THE best.

Co-sign. They just needed a coach who actually runs an offense. Once Byron Scott was hired, I knew Lebron was staying in Cleveland. Scott WOULD NOT have joined Cleveland to have Lebron leave.

As opposed to teaming up with another star for a more legit shot at a ring whom he won a gold medal with?

Would it matter if it was him joining NY with Amare then Melo comes over?

I dont get it really but I dont feel the same way.
To put it in perspective, three out of the top 5 draft picks in one of the best drafts in history have opted out of their contracts and left their teams to join up in Miami(excepting Wade, who was already there). There is nothing in history that compares to this situation.

You're lying to yourself if you think Mo Williams is a good PG, Antawn Jamison is a championship PF and Anderson Varejao is any different than a Big Baby Davis or Marcin Gortat. I don't think any of those guys would have started in Boston, Los Angeles, or even Dallas or Phoenix.

Edit: Or even San Antonio, Utah, or Atlanta

LeBron will be Batman wherever he goes. That's why Wade and Bosh said they'd take a paycut so he could sign the max.

Not over yet, Cavs are trying to get Johnny Flynn from the Wolves.

When Gasol was traded to the Lakers, he was not anywhere near the best big man in the league. Not even close. It just so happens that he got better in a Lakers uniform to coincide with the decline of KG, Duncan, Wallace, Brand and the other PFs who were ranked above him at the time of the trade. He was a good player, no doubt, but most definitely not an MVP candidate. We're talking about a 1 time all star here. I think he was All NBA 2nd team once? At the time of the trade, Pau was probably at the bottom of the top 20.

And there is only 1 of him.

Boston gets a pass because Seattle was disintegrated and KG had served too long under an incompetent regime. Plus all of these guys were on their last chance. Lebron is freaking 25 on a 60 win team. It's a little early to throw in the towel on that team.

But they managed to have the best record in the league last year (60+wins 2yrs in a row), and were the favorites to represent the east the past two years. I wonder why that was?

That's not even close to being true.

                                The Heat are Wade's team.
