Man, it seems like LeBron was cursed to play in his hometown. I almost feel like he was better off getting drafted by Sacramento or something, that way he wouldn't have the weight of an entire state on his back questioning his loyalty to his city and his people.

I still don't see this happening. This is the self proclaimed "King." Go to NY, bring them three titles. You will be worshipped. Go to Chicago, return them to the glory lands, you'll be worshipped. Bring Cleveland titles, same. The hometown boy turn hero for Cleveland. Do it for Miami, Wade's team, and you'll be known nothing more than Jester of the Court James instead of King James.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I haven't heard anyone bring Kobe up as any part of LeBron's decision, nor any jealousy or whatever you're talking about here.
As LeBron continues to win MVPs and wins at minimum three championships, I think he becomes the next best player since Jordan, or even better than Jordan, regardless of where he wins those rings. He needs to get out of Cleveland if he wants to do that.
And I agree, he's really making a lot of people look very desperate and sad in Cleveland. They bent over backwards for him and he's making it worse on everyone there by dragging this thing along. It's bad enough that he's leaving, but he could have shown a little more class than he has.
Then again, maybe he's not leaving?
2nd How is he handling this classless? I just dont get it.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Anyhow, I simply don't see what LeBrons owes to Cleveland. Doesn't register with me.Comment

Thanks, man.
At least one national writer thinks he's staying. Some valid points in here.

I wanna see LeBron get out a six sided dice with LAC, Miami, NYK, Cleveland, Chicago and NYJ and just roll the thing. Leave it up to fate.Comment

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
I dont think I have seen one player carry a team as much as LeBron. Are the Cavs roster better then some of us(me included) have given them credit maybe ,but playoff basketball is a whole different beast. Teams play harder,(especially defensively) line up get shorten and minutes for starters increase.Comment

Maybe he considered "Home" all the way to the wire or is still considering staying? I'm sure he wants some kind of sign & trade to get the max of the max deal especially if he goes to a team like the Knicks. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
That may be true, though Kobe's Lakers before Gasol were certainly right there... and I think I'd still have to give the nod to AI's team that went to the championship. Even still, playoff basketball isn't THAT much different. The Cavs played different and it looks mostly like it was bc they were coached differently. Lebron didn't carry THIS year's team as much as people want to let on. And more importantly, this year's team didn't get swept in the 1st round of the playoffs. They lost in the 2nd round to the eventual championship reps from their conference... after they (including James) quit on their coach. It seems like some believe they got crushed by the C's.
And we can agree to disagree about how different playoffs are.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: The Official "Where is LeBron going?" Thread
But its funny because a few years ago. I did the samething in a video game. I released all my players to open up the cap room. And signed 3 superstars. And then signed a bunch of bums to bring the ball up the court. I can't remember which team or the players I had. But I can tell you one thing. We won the Championship 4 years in a row lol...Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories
