And that's what bothers me the most of all. Miami gets this team, and not a basketball crazed city like NY, who will put fans in the seats regardless of their squad.

No, what bothers you most of all is that you don't like Miami.

New York couldn't get this team. They had Curry who already limited their cap space and signed Amare on about the first day of free agency. Signing Amare to a max deal killed them.

Miami got the team and they're about to become a "basketball crazed city."

And "putting fans in the seats" is a pretty silly argument. New York City has 8 million more people than Miami and averaged fewer than 2,000 more people per game. NYC has 20 times Miami's population and about four times the statistical area's population.

It's pretty obvious they are going to "put more fans in the seats" when both aren't great because they have that many more people.

Only thing I wonder about all 3 of them on the same team is who is going to lead their team in ppg next year. Didn't all 3 of them avg 20 plus per last year?

It's pretty obvious they are going to "put more fans in the seats" when both aren't great because they have that many more people.

You don't have to agree with me, but Miami is not a good sports town unless their teams are good. I'm a seventh generation Floridian, my grandpa is on the Orange Bowl committee, and I've lived in this state my entire life. That's the way it is down here. South Florida is known for creating some the best athletes in the world, not keeping them and maintaining fan support. Miami is notorious in the sports world for not being able to follow their teams.

Being the 7th largest metro area and having middle of the pack attendance for the Heat supports this, despite them being a playoff team. Not to mention Hurricanes attendance in down years or Marlins attendance any year.


This will no longer be a problem for the Heat, though, or any city that fields this roster. A North Dakota expansion team with this roster would sell out every game.

Does anyone realize Wade is 28 years old? (only 3 years younger than McGrady) How does LeBron expect to win 8 rings when Wade will be done after about 5 years?

Easy, he'll just take over the team and lead that amazing supporting cast to a few more titles. There's nothing in his history that says that he's not up for that challenge right...?

Miami is going to have 100%+ capacity the next five years. It doesn't matter if they were hardcore fans the 3 weeks ago, it just matters that they show up for the game.
