    Re: The LeBron James Saga

If Kobe is the second best shooting guard of all-time and one of the best players of his generation, then he should be able to make that team work and achieve similar results that LeBron did.

The "that team was built around LeBron" line is fine, but what does that have to do with Kobe not being able to fit in? All-time players should be able to go onto most playoff caliber teams and fit in.

If you examine what LeBron has had in his 7 year career, swapping a shooting guard for LeBron would make sense in terms of a fit around a scoring wingman, exactly what Kobe is.

Yeah rings are so overrated. Only one team wins a year. When you looked at the break down of the last 20 years it's mostly the same teams. There is little/no parity in basketball when it comes to titles.
You looking at the Chair MAN!

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

          I wouldn't say all that.

But man....I wanted to know can anyone make off hand layups jumping off the wrong like LeBron does?

            Should anyone?

That's the last thing I'd give Lebron props for, lol... being athletic enough to get away with screwing up the first fundamental lesson in the game.

I have no idea why Jeebs wants to know LOL

but just to counter you, sometimes players get into situations where you have no choice but to attempt a fundamentally flawed move. He, Wade and Kobe are so adept at scoring out of rhythm and off balance that it separates them from anyone else in the league. That's one of the main reasons these guys are the best three players in the world.

Its not situations with LeBron. Its all the time. If he finishes with his left. He always jumps off the wrong foot.

Na but I was died serious asking that question lol (I know random as hell)
But my friends and I were in the gym a few weeks ago. Trying to do it. When LeBron does it. He looks like he jumped off the correct foot (if didn't see his gather). But when you watch the replay its the wrong foot all the time. How do you teach something like that? How do you get the left hand to look exactly like the right hand?
*This is not a knock on Kobe*
But when he finishes with his left...He looks down right ugly. Like its was the first time he took a left handed shot.

They say LeBron is really left handed. Does everything with his left (eats and writes). I've been to at least 4 LeBron games in the Garden. And each time when he comes out in warm ups. He takes his first few jump shots with his left hand.

jeebs beat me to it but I knew exactly what he was talking about and it's not the same as the crazy off balanced shots that Kobe and Wade (and Lebron) make. It's seriously seems like he never learned how to shoot a left handed layup... but is so damn athletic that it doesn't matter. Basically if he were on a fastbreak alone, going in from the left and wasn't planning on dunking he'd still screw the footwork up but make it every time.

It's just like anything else... practice. You practice bad habits, they become natural. Most of us normal people just wouldn't be able to have the success rate he does with something like that. BTW, I'm left handed... play all sports with my right too. I consider it a curse. You lose the advantage most left handed players have while the D is trying to figure out how to guard you AND you have to deal with the smudges when writing with a pencil. Makes so much sense to do it the other way around but a little late for that now.

I'm left handed as well. But I can finish with both hands equally (but off the correct foot).

But yea.... he must of been jumping off the wrong foot from childhood. Thats pretty crazy...

I swear it bugs the hell out of me. He makes EVERYTHING look way too easy that you forget... then he pulls up for an unorthodoxed, off balanced jump shot or takes one of those screwed up layups off the wrong foot. And when it goes in you can't even say anything, lol.
