I could literally write a thesis on why I don't like James.

Pretty darn good ball player. Unstoppable when he wants to be.

Unfortunately he bought into his own hype at a very early age. It should be no surprise his ego is out of control. He conceals it most of the time, but the 10% of the time that it seeps out, it comes out really horribly arrogant (the talking in third person, etc) and rubs me the wrong way. So I think he's fake and have learned to basically see through everything he says. If you're gonna be that arrogant to think you can throw chalk in the air with your arms stretched out like Jesus.....just admit it and be an entertainer. Be Terrell Owens. Don't try to hide it and deny it 90% of the time. Don't say you're all about the team and let your teammates (Wade and Bosh) go on TV together but save the one hour special a day later for yourself.

Kornheiser used the words today "Agressively paranoid" about the new commercial....VERY well put.

I just thought it was funny although not as funny as "The Lebrons" commercials.
      Yeah, I know that lol.

But yeah I agree with you about the commercials. I didn't see anything to go really crazy about in this new commercial and I miss The LeBrons too.

That actually was a shot at Jordan. Everyone has complained and ******* about Jordan's HOF speech so much that this is pretty much the message sent. It's veiled behind the idea that no one is listening to his speech because of his Decision, but it's also a clever shot at the way Jordan's speech basically turned out. "Sooooo, this went well." You could also see the "wanna buy my shiny new shoes" part as a shot at Jordan with the criticisms of him not ever standing for anything and only worried about selling shoes. The only question is and Kornheiser brought it up on PTI, if you're Phil Knight, why allow Bron to go after Jordan with all the money he's made for Nike?

On another note, I do actually like the commercial, even if I still can't stand Bron right now.

Na I think it was a direct shot at how Jordan's HOF speech went. He went after both Barkley and MJ in that commercial.

I don't think it was a shot at Jordan, but if indeed it was it would show the guy to be petulant and fake (again). Less than a year after saying the league should retire 23 and now he supposedly is taking shots at MJ for stating his opinion? Again I don't think it was a shot at MJ, but if it was that's awfully childish from Bron.

                No one believes this nonsense.

Another thing Lebron is doing is trying to play the victim when he brought it on himself. If he wants to be loved by the masses, he should have thought of that before he did what he did this summer. It wasnt that long ago that he was trying to act like he would live with the consequences like a man but now here he is cowtowing to people to like him. He's trying to have it both ways. He wants to do whatever he wants and still be loved. And then when he's not, he tries lecturing to the masses. Sorry, but that rarely works. If he cared about the masses, he should have thought about that last summer or stay true to what he said about taking the consequences like a man and not grovel through Nike.

I never said I didn't think they pre-arranged getting together and making this team. Bosh pretty much let it slip himself. And it shouldn't surprise anyone anyways. It's not like this is the first time a few buddies talked about playing together and made it happen and it won't be the last.

Also, LeBron has a right to be playing the victim when you look at some of the messages he received this summer that were ridiculously racist.

Exactly he let it slip. But the reason he let it slip is because they were otherwise trying to deny it. You can dismiss it as not a big deal all you want but even those guys know its wrong, which is why theyre denying it. First of all, theyre lying about it and everyone knows it. And secondly, they carried on for much of the summer pretending like there was some legitimate process taking place. Now everyone knows that this was a farce.

No, that would be true if the majority of people who have soured on him were in the clan. Somehow, Im thinking he's targeting a part of america thats a little more mainstream.

And even the KKK stuff happened when he went to the public with his, "why doesnt everyone love me anymore" nonsense. Oh but right, he said he's going live with the consequences like a man. He said he doesnt listen to the criticism but somehow has a list of names he's going to take issue with.

I don't get where you're going with this. You basically said that people that aren't Cavs fans or Bron detractors or Kobe Stans have no reason to hate LeBron and he just gave you the biggest reason everyone has turned to hating him and you respond to that saying you never said you didn't think it was pre-arranged what they did. That has nothing to do with what he was saying, he was telling you why those of us non-Cavs fans no longer like Bron. I know I for one lost the respect I had for he, Bosh and Wade for the way that they did things, Wade more than any of them and it's not simply because they didn't pick my team. I'm a Bears fan, not getting big name free agents (prior to this year) is something I'm used to. I would've been down if they just flat out didn't come here sure, but I'd get over that. However the fact that this was all pre-planned and they basically dragged everyone along for some BS ride knowing the Heat had the means to sign them all since at least Draft night and then the Decision, the Pre-Championship rally and a lot of the comments since the Decision have made it fairly easy to hate these guys.

LeBron officially gone off the deep end...

his latest retweet from a random person on Twitter...(i know, i know with the twitter stuff)

"I just want to know why do you people dislike my bro @KingJames so much? What did he ever do to you? I believe nothing bc he doesn't even know you! Ha"

why is LeBron retweeting that for his one million followers? I don't get it, I thought the commercial was supposedly him not caring, or him saying he can't please everyone or whatever.

I said it before....that commercial SCREAMS insecurities....now he's tweeting flat out strange stuff. Which is it LeBron? Are you mr. cocky cornball from the Nike commercial trying to act so secure about yourself (while blatantly looking insecure)..or are you wondering out loud for the world to see about why people don't like you???

this is a train wreck going down hill............he has no idea how to handle himself anymore........he needs to go the Gilbert Arenas route at this point.....

                              Re: The LeBron James Saga

TNT held their annual NBA media luncheon today, which gave assembled media members the chance to ask TNT personalities Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Marv Albert, Steve Kerr, and Mike Fratello. PBT wasn’t in attendance, but SLAM Online’s Ben Osborne was.
Below is Osborne’s account of what happened when the conversation inevitably turned to the Heat — Barkley has been one of the most vocal critics of both LeBron James and “The Decision” all summer, and he didn’t shy away from giving his opinion on what the Heat now need to do:
Besides catching up with some of the other media types there, I participated by asking Levy if TNT was approached about airing “The Decision” (”No,” he said. “And we wouldn’t have been interested in something where we had to give up control like that.”), all of the guys if Erik Spoelstra was up to the challenge of leading the star-powered Heat (Kenny said definitely, but Charles thinks there’s a real question as to whether Spo’ will fell comfortable yelling at LeBron/Wade, etc.) and taking lots of notes in the hopes of getting a great soundbite.
Sure enough, Sir Charles delivered. Somewhat unprompted, as the lunch and conversation were winding down, he announced that in his opinion, “the Heat have to win two, probably three, championships, in the next five years to be a success. We have never had a situation like that in the NBA.”
Strong words from Barkley. And no, he wasn’t asked any questions about the Nike spot that came out today — in the comments of Osbourne’s post, he says that he wished he’d known about the ad so he could’ve asked Barkley about it. Knowing Barkley, he’ll probably have some thoughts about that ad sooner rather than later.
                              3 in 5 though, Charles?
