Dude just stop trying to make a point with KG. KG and LeBron's situations are NOTHING alike. KG put his faith in the Wolves front office to build the team around him, he didn't flex any muscle or use any leverage as a star to make moves or influence moves for the team, he was not winning at any point with that team except ONE year out of his ten there. He had chances to leave and didn't, when he finally did leave the Wolves, he had to be convinced by literally the entire league that the Wolves had wasted his career and he still didn't leave as a free agent, he left via a friggin trade where Boston pretty much sent they're entire roster to Minnesota. You have got to be the only person I've ever seen try to act like KG wanted out of Minnesota. He didn't want to leave the team and that was something he took some heat for in the past, being loyal to a fault. It's just not even close though, I can't believe you're trying to compare the situations.

Also, I just don't like the argument about the team being "built around LeBron". Yes it was, but it do you really think it was a great team worthy of winning a championship? No, it wasn't and the only reason they ever had that chance was with LeBron playing 40+ minutes a night and playing his *** off every game. At some point he was going to break down at that pace. He had every right to leave and when you look at it just from a team standpoint (no legacy BS, etc), it was the smart move. This could extend his career a few extra years than if he were to play on the Cavs and still not have a worthy sidekick or sidekicks.

Exactly. LeBron stays in Cleveland and (barring him pulling a miracle out his ***, which could have been possible I guess) it's another year of coming up short. And there was a very good possibility that, like you said, his "legacy" ends up being just like Ewing, Reggie, Malone, etc.

I don't know about Shaq being tied to the Lakers. At this point the guy has changed teams so many times I don't think it'll be synonymous that I remember him as a Laker like I think of Jordan as a Bull or Jeter as a Yankee. I'll just remember him as Shaq.
Blue, to set the record straight. I am not saying that lebron is a coward for going to a team that gave him a better chance of winning a ring. I am saying that he is a coward for going to a team with an established star, another alpha male, if you will, when he is claiming to be one himself. That is the whole Jordan, Barkley, Magic and Bird, arguments. They would not have done it because they were alpha males, lebron? not so much. That is my argument.

You telling me. It's funny because last night I was on the phone with my friend. And he was like "If anyone is still harping about LeBron James and what he did..they are just plain bitter."....I started to laugh out loud. I thought of Novstar lol

You realize that Shaq did literally the exact same thing as Lebron, right?

He left a very good, but far from championship team to go to the most desirable location in the NBA. That's what Lebron did but instead going to the second most desirable location in the NBA.

And as said, there are a ton of greats who aren't tied to one team. Barry Bonds, Kareem, Shaq, Randy Moss, Drew Brees, Barkley, ARod, Wilt, etc.

Oh yeah, and some guy named Babe Ruth.

Hell, the only player you listed who didn't leave his original team was Jeter.

I mean they did. A lot of turnovers. A lot of plays that just seemed out of rhythm (make them seem like the Cavs). Even for all the turnovers... LeBron played very well. He's still playing the best basketball in the world (since 08). Like I said in another thread. They should just call him a point guard now.
Forget the whole point forward thing lol. When they have House,Jones, LeBron, Haslem and Big Z on the floor. They were pretty effective. Now just getting the Bosh, Wade and James to jelly is another story.

LeBron needs to work on post up moves a little. He needs a go to move when he gets down there. And also I'm not saying he needs to go into the post more. I'm when he does go down there. He needs to have that move.

After looking at last night games, I'm afraid that's what it's going to come to in Miami if they don't change fast. I couldn't tell if Erik Spoelstra was coaching or Mike Brown.

I know it's only the first game BUT is his decision to bring his talents to South Beach also meant that he was able to bring his playbook? So does Wade play the Mo Williams role? Does Bosh play Varejao? That's not going to look good.

I want to make this very clear:

Neither Brown or Erik are running that offense, no matter what they say in public.

So, yeah, basically Wade will be Mo and Bosh will be Z/Andy. And when it comes to the playoffs, they'll get destroyed by a team that plays defense because they know how to stop that offense *hint: BOSTON CELTICS*

This is a perfect example of why you don't put LeBron in the post:

For the past couple of seasons, many fans and analysts have been imploring LeBron James to take defenders into the post. He has never really done it, and last night against the Celtics, that inexperience showed. Paul Pierce initially does a very good job of forcing LeBron way out of the lane. However, LeBron eventually is able

LeBron has no post moves, be it a go to move or a few moves, LeBron needs a post game of some sort. The fact he doesn't after 7 years is pathetic.
