    Seriously?

Front offices' let player go(sometimes in very shady ways) and do whats best for their teams. Why wouldnt players do the same? Can we bury this concept of loyalty in sports because it's been dead for decades(on both sides).

Yep. Thats all I'm upset at. I could care less that he left, but you're not bigger than the NBA 'Bron. Screw the city and franchise that gave you 100% of everything the past 7 years.

As a Cavs fan, here's my perspective. I'm not mad at him for leaving (though I am dissapointed), however, I am perturbed by the whole charade those three played. They honestly expect us to believe that this whole thing just came together at the last second? They had this whole thing planned for months if not years and then played the whole world for chumps, as if no one was going to see throught their paper thin farce. LeBron James was going to be villified in Ohio no matter how he played it, but I think his villification in the rest of the sports world would honestly be a LOT less if he had just come right with it. And of course, Wade and Bosh come out in this unscathed but they screwed with us too. If I were a NUggets fan, I'd be upset at the prospect oif losing Carmelo Anthony, but at least he is being honest about it and not putting on this whole Greek drama.

Ofcourse they talked about playing together and wanted to do this well before ,but I don't think any final decision(maybe I should use another word) until he said he did. I could be wrong.

They dreamed about playing with each other they said, they said they would play with each other if it was possible. They knew it was possible at the latest by draft night. They played everybody with that BS they put on. Like I said Wade is the worst of the worst cause he showed up here in Chicago meeting with the Bulls when he wasn't supposed to, showed up for a second meeting with them as if he was really going to come home and then they went ahead with signing together anyway. The only reason they tried to act like it was such a hard decision is cause Stephen A Smith let the cat out of the bag.

Look I would be a fool to say a know definitively one way or the other. Could they have come to this decision months before ofcourse. I believe like most decision you have what you really want in mind ,but if your smart you keep your options open until you have to choose.

They also synched up their FA period so they could join forces at the same time. I guess Carmelo isnt part of their innercircle.

They also need to be careful about what they say. There are stories of a bunch of stuff going on last November that involved Riley. If Riley gets nailed for tampering, Stern can poissibly void contracts. Its doubtful he would do it with all the money tied into merchandising.

I remember when they signed they asked Melo to opt for the same deal all three got ,but he choose to do otherwise. Now look at the situation Anthony is in. Trying to force a trade.

Sorry. I dont see why Anthony has it so bad being in a contract year this year, instead of last year.

It also has nothing to do with the fact that people dislike Wade/James/Bosh for the farce that took place this summer.

Yeah, that part of it gets overlooked, but that was a huge red flag. And as far as the contract thing, I don't know. On one hand, it does seem like a huge coincidence that they all took 3 year deals, and at this point, I don't doubt that it was the plan all along. But I can also see that it was smart to have a contract year this year instead of next because with the CBA set to expire after this season, players may not make as much next year. Of course, if they were just going to take less anyway, it kind makes that reasoning go out the window.

                          Re: The LeBron James Saga

NEWARK -- LeBron James said he has no regrets about ending up in Miami, but did say he would handle his decision differently if given another chance.

James has been heavily criticized for announcing his free agency choice during an hour-long ESPN special.

The Ohio native did not specifically say what aspects of "The Decision" he would have changed.

"If I had to go back on it, I probably would do it a little bit different," James said. "But I'm happy with the decision I made. There's always going to be a misunderstanding. I don't know what I would [have done], but I definitely would have changed it."

James joked Sunday that it's not too soon for teams to start recruiting him for the 2015-16 season after his current contract expires.

Barring injuries, James would still be in his prime when his six-year contract ends, although there are options that would allow him to enter free agency a year or two earlier.

"I'll be 30, I'll be alright still, too," James said before the Heat played the Nets at the Prudential Center. "I'm here. I'm a Heat, man. So we'll see what happens."

The Nets were one of six teams that met with James when the free-agency recruiting period opened in July. He also received visits in Cleveland from the Heat, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls and the Cavaliers. The Nets, partially owned by hip-hop mogul and James' good friend, Jay-Z, had the first meeting with James.

But James said Sunday he never established a ranking or order of preference beyond the Heat.

"Not really," James said. "It was some meetings that were better than others. But at the end of the day, this was the team I felt like I had the best opportunity to win for a long period of time. I didn't have a list, one through six or one through five, whatever the case was."

Sorry when did he say that he doesnt like Mia fans? He has said and has proved he will do what he think is best for his career like all players should. Why is everybody making this personal?

The only reason everything he says end up being worse is because right now thats how everybody wants it to be. Would you rather him say "I will retire here"? People would have a problem with that.

Come on now man let's not try to take things to the extreme. The main reason why they signed those shorter deals then was money reason. I'm sure you know the NBA has max deals deals but the total amount you can get is based on years played. Once you hit your 7th year your max deal could be up to 30 percent of the cap. Anything less than 7 can only get you up to 25 percent of the cap. Plus LeBron was the first to do that deal then they followed along.

All this took place years before the Olympics ever happened. To say this all was planned four years ago it taking things a little too far. If that was the case then they all could have declined deals back then and joined forces back in 07.
