Re: The LeBron James Thread
Really? What difference would it make?
Looking back through the thread has made me smile. People swearing that LeBron wanted Jamison instead of Amare
People saying LeBron definitely had enough to get a title with the squads he's had
If someone were to tell me that you could put LeBron and old man Shaq on this exact Cleveland team minus Ramon Sessions [and have Jamison only play half the regular season] and they'd win 60 games I'd smack the hell out of you.
If someone were to tell me you could put Delonte, Mo, old man Z, Bron and Andy in your starting lineup with Boobie and old man Wallace as your bench.. and said 66 wins, I would have smacked the hell out of you.
I hope people finally realize the difference between regular season basketball and playoff basketball. Not to excuse LeBron's failings recently, because he may be the poster boy for "regular season King", [he did take trash to the Finals but that's neither here nor there] but I hope people finally see that his cast wasn't built to compete with the other powers. I hope people will eventually appreciate just how awesome it was for him to take that squad to back to back 60 win seasons. Oh well.
Oh and yes he did check out of that Boston series. The hell can you argue that?
Not saying the whole team didn't quit, but the supposed leader of the team definitely didn't come with 100% effort to end his stay in Cleveland.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Well, Ill tell you one thing, Born pretty much said what was on his mind instead of "wishing someone else was here to say it"
I agree with just about everything you said though Ex, we just have different veiws on quitting...but hey.Comment

No point in repeating what was already said(especially if it's something I agree with), if you're referring to me.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
He didn't assert himself at all in 2 games, and the stats from those games are "great", but if someone were just to point at the stats and say he gave it his all, then I know who didn't watch the series with their own eyes.
James walks into double doubles, that's just how good he is... but certainly his mind was somewhere else to finish out the playoffs last year. I don't know what it was I don't understand how you just throw away 60 wins... I would have loved to see him at least go down fighting.
But hell he won't be the first and last superstar to do it let's not forget that.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
We are back to LeBron James quitting again...lol
Maybe he just didn't play well. Maybe we are just too use to seeing him dominate teams. That he had an off series. Or the Celtics defense was just that good.
But it's whatever at this point... What happen... happen...
If the Heat finish with the best record in the league... does that mean they would have co-MVP? lolHands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Thread
No, I've seen him have bad games.
There's a difference between an off game and not going 100% or anything close to 100%.
There were a few games in that series where he wasn't emotionally/physically/mentally vested in trying to help his team win.
And as far as where James is in the MVP discussion this year, I think he's top 3 at least. Dirk is another name in there...Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Ex I understand what your saying... But I've watch every single game from that series a few times now. The word "quit" just doesn't fit the bill. I will say it was the first series I've seen LeBron in which he played totally different from game to game. He drops 40 in the first game. They get blown out in game 2. He drops 38 in game 3 of a blowout. The next 2 games were the lamest of any games I've seen him play. In game 6 I mean the man almost has a triple double (with a lot of uncharacteristic turnovers).
Overall Ex it was a weird series for LeBron period.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Might wanna go back and watch those games because there was a clear difference from his play in one game and in another. So if you wanna call it his "lamest of any games he's played" but didn't quit then that's fine but I think we all know(especially if we watched the games and not just looked strictly at boxscores)that there was a significant difference in how he played some games in that series and how he played others AND how Boston's Defense wasn't primarily THE reason for it either.
As for that triple double, out of all the TDs I've seen that man get, this may have been the most fraudest one of them all.#RespectTheCultureComment
