hating Lebron is a character-microcosm-generational thing for me personally... this generation highly regards what looks good but not what gets the job done... i used to be that way when until i understood that what matters in lfe is not how great someone is in any aspect of life but the most important thing is how they respond when it matters most... Lebron has had an AWFUL showing of how he handles "when it matters most" in MANY areas, not just on the court & not just the past 3 fourth quarters
For what it's worth, I'm 7 years younger than LeBron and I still can't stand him. I honestly don't like a lot of what our generation represents. I think a lot of the perception is unfair to the majority of our generation, but at the same time, you have guys like LeBron that (not to say he doesn't work hard because I'm sure he does) that seem to think they deserve success rather than going out and causing success if you know what I mean.

[QUOTE=teddyballgame78;2042489022]You serious greatest player ever? Prove it cause I don't see what your seeing. He's a great player and leave it at that. I have never seen a player of his caliber travel, palm the ball, and flop as much as lebron. His jump shot is not very good he gets most of his points on dunks and at the line. His confidence is easily rattled. Straight up he's a jerk and he's far to stubborn to look at himself in the mirror and make personal changes.

Until Lebron can stop always thinking about Lebron then just maybe he'll win. I'm confident that will never happen. He will wear out his welcome with Wade and NEVER win a title if he keeps going the same way. He's way to satisfied with reffering to himself as king james and being on sportscenter. Players and fans know lebron is fake and a coward. Oh ya Lebron tell me how my dirk tastes[/QUOTE

Umm I guess you missed when he played the celtics in the playoffs. He didn't choke. he had (2) 3pointers, ( 1 )dunk and (1) layup to win the game in the final 4 minutes. You might not like him as a person , but those facts dismiss the idea that all he does is dunk and get easily rattled. To this day I have yet to hear a negative comment from him that would adhere to the word " hate". But I'm sure whatever he has done is not as bad as telling an albino that he looks like a cancer patient.

Did I want lebron to stay in Cleveland , he'll yeah!!!. But how or why he did it is really insignificant to him as a basketball player. The other thing is lebron being a choke artist. I don't think that's accurate because I believe that if he was going to choke, we would have seen signs of that during the Boston/ Chicago series. Those traits would have surfaced then. Don't get me wrong, lebron did not play great . But it was really only 2 quarters of the finals( both fourth quarters) that he did not live up to " his " standards. As far as deshawn Stevenson calling lebron classless. My advice would be this to him. In 2-3 years no one will even remember you were on the Mavericks .
I agree with this in theory, but the problem with it in this scenario is that LeBron wants to be the best basketball player ever, and joining up with two of the top 25 players in the league, one of them top 3, is basically an indictment on him on the court. Leaving your team, in your city, to join up with other all stars shows that you just aren't as good as we thought.

Oh haha sorry I did like the line where you said when the tighter the game lebron looks to hide. I def agree I couldn't believe he kept passing the ball off at the three point line the last 5 minutes of that game.

I do respect his talent god he's a phenom but he's such a jerk about it. He reminds me of a heel character from WWE except this is who he really is as a person. I love heel characters I get it it's funny but damn this is really LeBrons personality.

Also before someone says your hating LeBron as a person not a ball player. Your mostly right but it ties into how he plays the game pounding his chest screaming like he's a gladiator. Crying after he beat the Celtics in round two? I can't stand Lebron's personality type and I don't want to see any LeBron clones in that league.

It's all an act he cares way more about the branding of LeBron than he does about the game or his teammates or his fans if he hasn't alienated the few he has left. I really feel America is about redemtion and second chances but he is very happy how his life is I guess and I don't want an apology just play the game with some class respect people. Him and wade and the coughing bs what a bunch of dicks.

Maybe LeBron can get to the NBA and be a great player without going to college but a little social etiquette wouldn't hurt.

all the same to me... people's character carries over to the things that supposedly take pride in right? so personal.. on the court... same thing... QUITTING is a HORRIBLE trait in anything! people try to say that he had bad games but not attempting the things that you normally dominate at when its THE MOST pivotal time should be all a Lebron fan needs to see to know y people cant stand him

He played poorly and got beat by the moment, I'd say he's disappointed in himself and of course it's not good enough but I'm not going to write off his entire career when he's proven before he's capable of playing well in the moment.

Me personally I'm chalking his finals up to poor confidence, he was rattled and his game left him with nothing to fall back on and instead of forcing drives into the paint(something he would've gotten killed for) he differed to the hot hand(something a good teammate does), hopefully dude gets in the gym this summer and works on that post up and develops a true go to move.

for me personally it was Tracy McGrady while in Houston... everybody said how great he was & i was a fan at first but after i got to watch him night in & night out i saw things that i HATED.

i liken LeBron to McGrady because of how he quits in games by standing around, taking himself out of games by making it a 4 on 5 game on the offensive end & basically taking the pressure off of the defense by taking jumpers when he could get PIP anytime he wants.

i'm sure this is what Cleveland fans saw & actaully noted more than the casual Lebron fan over the 2 years prior to him leaving Cleveland... i know i saw it. the media spoke on it after game 6 of the Boston series last year but left alone what he did late in games 4 & 7... this has BEEN his MO ever since that Pistons series that he took over & a fan that gets to see it for 82 games a year sees it a lot more clearly than the "national broadcast fan" that catches highlights on ESPN. (you never get to see how a game truly played out while watching edited highlights... just like reality TV)

Lebron is the greatest player to EVER step on a court as long as he can defer to someone who wants the pressure & is performing well at the same time... when things look low Lebron looks for a place to hide
Yeah Tmac defer to others during clutch moments while in houston, actually all moments. That's why houston failed...

it was impossible for the setup the cavs had, no great second option wanted to play in cleveland with lebron....

but thats JUST my point... "GREAT" players don't get rattled & give up though THE FACT IS THAT WHAT HE DID IN THE CRUCIAL MOMENTS OF HIS CAREER... even the shots that he did hit late in the Chi & Boston series were not good "Championship" shots... no one had a hot hand last night when he gave up so he, being billed & taking the role as the greatest player in the league shouldve taken it upon his self to at least attempt to lead the team to a victory.

i NEVER remeber hearing this debate or argument about ANY great player in history's willingness to play his part as a leader & there were PLENTY of teams with multiple superstars (50 greatest ever) over the course of time
