It's revisionist history to say that the greats never got rattled or had off games to build your case against Lebron, If you feel that way then that's how you feel, but in actuality it's false and your putting these dudes on a mantle no one will ever live up to. I'm not going to sit here and bring up every one of the 50 greatest players of all time's bad game's and I'm not here to compare Lebron to Jordan so with that said carry on.

i welcome a debate to make me see something that i may not have seen but my point is NOT that none of them ever got rattled & had a bad game... my point is that none of them got rattled & COMPLETELY STOPPED LOOKING TO SCORE... to have a bad game you have to take shots & move around on the court... Lebron stood & watched his team loose... is that not what happened?

Re: The LeBron James Thread
[QUOTE=teddyballgame78;2042489090]Teddy ,that is not what he said. That is how he tried to back track out of what he really said . But you know what, I don't hate KG . He got caught up in the heat of the game and his emotions got the best of him. All players have those moments. My point is maybe we should not try to twist and mold Lebron's antics into a negative notion all the time.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
And for the umpteenth time, it's hard to attract free agents when the 'best player in the league' treats a franchise like prison that he's marking his days down til he bolts from. You know where a great place to live is with clubs, parties, women, shopping all that good stuff? Chicago. You know where free agents pretty much refused to come for a good eight, nine years or so? Chicago. Free Agents will go where the stars are and the biggest star in the league was in Cleveland, he just refused to put any effort whatsoever into helping get them there. I'm convinced if the Cavs had blown out the Celtics, blown out the Magic (the way the Celtics had last year) and went on to last year's Finals and lost to the Lakers in seven, dude would have still bailed and people would still be talking about him not ever being able to win in Cleveland and apparently rotting there.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Terry shot the ball poorly in almost every post-season until this year. He had his redemption this year. Mo was given 2 chances. Terry was given like 6 before he finally came through.
Edit: And by poorly, I mean at Mo's level or worse.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 06-13-2011, 09:03 PM.NFL: Bills

Re: The LeBron James Thread
It was not impossible, they could have competed this year. The team that the Cavs trotted out there this year is NOT, I repeat NOT the team we would have seen had LeBron stayed his *** put. Shaq would have been gone which would've freed up some cash. Who knows maybe they still make the Mo/Jamario for B-Diddy trade. They could have accomplished something at the deadline. Or maybe, maybe with another year together building they're chemistry, the team that they had could compete in what was a wide open league, a wide open East. They certainly could have beaten the Magic of this season. The Bulls lost one game in the division in like the last week of the season which helped them secure the number one seed, perhaps that doesn't happen with LeBron present in the division still. I don't care what illusions people try to create about that Cavs team, they could have competed this year, but it's moot really cause we'll never know.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I love debating with you guys. Def make me see the errors in my ways. I do hate LeBron and all he stands for but I'm gonna try not to hate starting now. However I leave you all with this quote.
"All the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that. So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point."
You know what. He was right I woke up the same person. The same job making 11.15hr and barely able to support myself and my pug. I make plenty of life mistakes but I'd like to think I learn from them.
The NBA is a great escape from my everyday life but thanks for reminding me of my non spectacular lifestyle lol. Really though I do love basketball I love the emotion of it. I just wish Bron respected the game the way it should be. That's all no "what should I do" commercials, no parades before you win anything at all, no more showing up your peers. Just play dude shut everyone up. Win and shut up and LeBron would be amazed how people would start to respect him. I don't ever see him doing this though I really don't.Gt White Mamba 24x

Hopefully what the Heat are trying to build is something the opposite of what people seem to want from Lebron(to be some type of hero) Spoelstra preached trust all year long and when Lebron trusted the open man he get's killed for it. He made some bad reads this series at the worst times but I'm not going to kill him for trying to play basketball the right way. People are drunk off of the LeIso years.

One last thing. The sentence that he says "So they can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they got to get back to the real world at some point."
Not only myself but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. Sounds like don't forget they deserve blame for losing as well. Calling out his teammates right? Oh and we get to go back to the real world? Where the **** is LeBron living never never land?Gt White Mamba 24x

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Game 4 he was abysmal, yes. I can't explain it other than he differed hard trying to find a rhythm in the first and then just lost complete focus in the second half. Game 5 he seemed more active but without a jumpshot against a double team and a zone and the inability to get to the foul line what is he supposed to do? chuck when Wade had it going? Drive head first like a bull in a china shop into the teeth of the zone? Game 6 was more of the same in Game 5 except Wade didn't have it and he was pressing more.

People are drunk off of the LeIso years.i see your point & i can slightly agree on game 5 but i still think he coulda tried more down the stretch last night. as far as the drive head first comment... thats what Wade did against the Mavs the last time he played them in the finals to win... so yeah i think he couldve forced the action a bit more... he's THE MOST gifted 6'9 260 pounder EVEN with a full head of steam toward the basket... why not force a good shot or force the refs to call SOMETHING in a game at home in the finals in the last moments of a close out game?! i think u would get those calls at home so attempt to get your superstar, home court calls down the stretch... to quote one of my favorite NFL coaches... "he let em off the damn hook!"Last edited by ronyell; 06-13-2011, 09:27 PM.Comment
