Ever think the reason Cleveland isn't "over it" has to do with the fact that they're hands down the most tortured sports city anywhere and haven't won a single championship in, what, 50+ years? LeBron was THE hope to end all of that for them. He was the best chance they've had to end that drought since probably the Indians in the late '90s.

Look at it this way. If you had a mega-star the caliber of LeBron playing for the Cubs and he had you guys on the cusp of ending that 100+ year World Series drought, only to do all of the nonsense that LeBron pulled on his way out, you don't think you and the entire city of Chicago would be pissed?

The funny part is you'd still have to pretend that teams like the Blackhawks and Bulls hadn't won championships in decades as well just to equate to Cleveland's situation. They have every right to hate the guy and hold that grudge for a long, long time. I don't think it'll ever go away until a Cleveland team wins a title. Hell, even then I don't know....

Gotta do something before the playoffs and before the next stars leave in their planned exoduses, BNG. The NBA regular season, as we know, is worthless.

thing is, he gave them 7 years. he tried to win them a ring by himself for 7 years. but who did they get to help him? a washed up shaq. a washed up jamison. role players like mo and delonte who they wanted to make starters.

they had chances to go after people, they had a chance to get Amare. they could have traded with the Suns, and Amare even said that he would have stayed in cle. with lebron and wanted to be lebrons teammate. but the cavs never pulled the trigger, instead they got jamison.

what im saying is, cavs fans wanna blame lebron for them not winning a championship, when they should be blaming dan gilbert, or whoever was making the trades and signing decisions. because it is not lebron's fault that the organization is too cheap/stupid to make moves.

if you want to be mad at lebron because of the way he left with decision, i understand that. it was a stupid move on his part, something he has said he regrets. but cavs fans should not be mad because he gave up on the team and left, any player in their right mind would have left.

Who, exactly, would the Cavaliers traded to the Suns for Amare? Because, uh, we weren't trading him for JJ Hickson.

....but really, the proper response to that post is, "Oh no, not again."

You're forgetting that he quit on his team, and the city in the Celtics series. He made up his mind that he wasn't returning to Cleveland the following year. Once the Cavs got down in the series, LeBron didn't care.

If he doesn't get why now (or is it then?) then..he should probably just stop asking questions. Because he's going to read answers he doesn't want to acknowledge.

This has literally been a circular argument for the last couple of pages.

Jay: Why do you guys (Cleveland) hate Lebron?
Various posters: Because he's a narcissist.
                    Jay: But why?
                    Various posters: We told you.
                    Jay: I know, I understand....but why?
Various posters: *Attempts to explain again.
Jay: *Gets indignant and demands to know why again.

If I didn't want LeBron threads popping up every two seconds, this stupid thing would have been locked a long time ago.
