Re: The LeBron James Thread
They would be a fun team to watch. Even more so than The Heat the first year they were all together. I would love to see Bron go back and be paired with Wiggins. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
No I'm not kidding.
LeBron, a quarter of Wade, and a under performing Bosh almost took the #1 seed.
I can assure you, that Cavs team would be near the top immediately upon his return. Forgot to throw in Tristan Thompson in that list. That team with LeBron is a Top 3 team without question.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I agree. They are the top seed easily if LeBron goes.No I'm not kidding.

Wade made an impact whenever he played (minus the finals) and saying Bosh under performed tells me you aren't watching too many Heat games. They had perfect supporting cast loaded with shooters, defenders and veteran experience. No I'm not kidding.

Cavs have none of that. They have a young team that is going nowhere. Logical reasoning to the side Cleveland is only an option because it's his hometown. Not more, not less. If LeBron really feels like he wants to go home he's signing regardless of who coaches, plays and sits in the front office.
If he wants his carrer to go forward he needs to sign elsewhere, simple as that.Comment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Just like he did this year?
At least in Cleveland, he'd immediately be surrounded by talent that is still getting better.
Kyrie missed 12 games, Waiters missed 12 games, Varejao missed 17, Bennett missed 30 and played horrible at the beginning of the season. Get those guys healthy, add Wiggins and LeBron who statistically accounted for 20 wins above replacement and you have a team that is winning close to 60 games.
Aren't you expecting guys you play with to be able to hold up through an entire playoff run? That is the reason he went to Miami in the first place.Wade made an impact whenever he played (minus the finals) and saying Bosh under performed tells me you aren't watching too many Heat games. Bosh wasn't under performing, but averaged career lows in Points, Rebounds and Assists. And offered no resistance at the rim which was one of their Achilles heels

Re: The LeBron James Thread
Man, the Cavs with Lebron made the Eastern Conference Finals with Mo Williams as the second best player when the east was far better. Yall gonna tell me they cant make the Finals next year if Lebron goes there? Its not a guarantee, im not implying that, but with Lebron they have a very, very good shot at the finals.
How many years does Wade have left? when the Heat give him his "legacy" pay, that severely inhibits their ability to get new talent. I'm sorry, but I fail to see how the Heat is a more attractive place to play basketball beyond next yearComment

Re: The LeBron James Thread
A retooled-Heat can beat them. We've beat them before. With McBob replacing Rashard Lewis, Granger replacing Battier, Napier replacing Rio, I think this team has a better chance to win than last years. Depending on what contracts the Big 3 take, there should still be money to sign someone like Okafor, Humphries, Jordan Hill, etc.Fan of:

Isn't LeBron's WAR stat something ridiculous? I thought I saw a stat saying he was 20 points ahead of the next guy in line lol. I assumed it was Durant.
Also, Bosh easily had his worst defensive season in the big 3 era. And while he didn't "under perform" throughout most of the season he definitely did during the finals. He was out rebounded by Birdman who played 20 minutes less than him (Bosh 5.2 rebounds in 36 minutes per), Rashard Lewis blocked more shots than he did. All stats under his season average despite playing more minutes.
And I mean this in no disrespect to those guys in San Antonio, but when you're supposed to be a super star and you're matched up with Splitter, Duncan (37), Baynes, Bonner, you just have to be much better than that. If the finals is not a time to step up then when is? Duncan topped Bosh in all major statistical categories despite playing less minutes. Both as 3rd options. All credit to Duncan but you just can't let that happen when the man is 37.
Seems like everyone always wants to give Bosh a pass and praise the things he does do well, which he's definitely deserving of. But he gets outplayed in nearly every playoff series.

Re: The LeBron James Thread
I give you Wade's knees but is Skip also not watching basketball at all?
While Kyrie played a '06 Kobe style this year I still think he's a good enough PG to be the 2nd best player on that team. But he hasn't proofed it. Are you sure he's mixing up just fine with LeBron? Maybe, but we haven't seen evidence that he will. His relationship with Dion is also in question just like Thompson who is a averange PF that isn't stretching ish to free up the lane for James and Wiggins. And they gonna need a big shooter if they want Andi to start at C.
The rest of the team is averange at best, talking Bennett. The bright spot here is a Wiggins/LeBron combo, both of them cutting lanes like there's no tomorrow and Wiggins would obviously benefit from James' passing abilitys.
They gonna be a good team in the east with James but without him they will battle for the 8 spot and they can thank god for the eastern conference.
I just can't see James playing kindergarden teacher for 3 years before they could seriously contend for a championship, especially when Melo signs with the Bulls.
edit: before you go all out on those 3 years...The cavs needed half a decade to pair him up with Mo Williams who was the best player in a Cavs jersey besides LeBron in that era. Do you really think they pull off a championship caliber team in 2 years or less? C'mon!Last edited by Halloween; 07-09-2014, 12:22 PM.Comment
