Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

He doesn't want to play on a title contender with Derrick Rose but he'll go to pretty bare team in Brooklyn with Deron Williams. Makes sense.

It really makes me think the rumor about him supposedly having a massive shoe deal (or whatever it was) lined up if he goes to Brooklyn is true.

Just in comparison to the other deals that are floating around for Dwight. NOW, the big obstacle for the Bulls is that Dwight doesn't want to come here.

I'd say this, if Dwight had put the Bulls on his list of teams he wanted to go to in the beginning, I say the deal would have been already done.

If he wants to come here, he's better off waiting til the summer(which is also the route I'd rather go)because then were not giving up nothing to get him whereas we'd have to gut half of this damn(worthless)team to get him now.

If we do trade for him, I'd be shocked if it's the same deal that almost went down back in the Preseason.

As nuts as it sounds, rival executives say they believe Orlando will hold onto Howard after the trade deadline. Howard’s camp thinks so too

I’m told Howard prefers going to free agency. Doesn’t want a team he is traded to gutted just to get him.

If Howard goes to free agency, throw out the three-team (Dallas, NJ, LAL) list. It’s open season for bidding. LeBron, part II.

Two teams sources say tell SI Howard will have interest in: Clippers and Miami. There are cap issues, but the interest is real.

How the hell would Miami even get him without trading Bosh?

Re: Could Dwight Be Playing Somewhere Else Next Season?

Miami's Payroll is out the window after this season anyway. With the "Big 3's" contracts progressively getting larger, there's no way for Howard to come in at this point. Even trading Bosh, he's going to be leaving a LOT, a LOT of money on the table. Like, double what he could be getting elsewhere.

I hope and pay that he gets traded before the deadline, or else it's just going to be a mess. Ridiculous.

Looks like even without Bostrich's salary this year, they're already on the books at $60 Million for the 12/13 season. That's with 10 players (not counting Bosh) on the books.

What the Magic should really do is trade him to some team that isn't even going to make the playoffs this year just to show Dwight he can go **** himself.

I know it'd never happen but A) it's not like they're getting anything when he leaves in the offseason and B) it'd be hilarious.

Agreed. Orlando, just take the best offer now.

No point handicapping yourself for one more year of getting bounced from the playoffs.

You know where you can win, get all the credit, increase your exposure, stay warm and still be liked? Nowhere. So shut up and pick one.
                              This sums it up well.

I can just imagine Dwight Howard signing with the Heat for the minimum and going "omg guys i told u all i want 2 do is win!!!"

Then he signs a 120 million dollar shoe contract.
