You've clearly come across a variation of this person before, because you're right on the money. I could tell that's what was going on too. I'm sure at some point he made one from there and those around him all thought it was great, so he now lives for that 1 out of 30 he hits.

Re: The worst pick up players.
In one of the cheesier moments in playground history, I played against a fellow the other day who was struggling throughout. He loved to take one dribble then spin along the perimeter. So, I anticipated his spin and he smashed right into me, knocking me over. He fired some weird bank shot from 16 feet. He hit it, then said, "This is man's game." He was 19.Comment

I'd say my least favorite, but sometimes most entertaining, is the guy who has watched one to many And1 Mixtapes. Back in the And1 heyday (late 90's to early 2000's), everyone thought They were Skip to My Lou. Then Jason Williams came in and made all my local friends think it was okay to attempt "behind the back-off the elbow" passes .Comment

Re: The worst pick up players.
i hate playing with the 'just because you are tall you have to camp out in the lane or i wont throw it to you" type of guy . I am 6'3 and usually one of the tallest players on my team (guarding guys that are 2-3 inches taller than me at times) and the guards I always play with assume i cant shoot beyond the low post block so if im open with the 10-15 ft jumper they would rather try to blow past a double or triple team to go for the layup.
Omg, just last week I was the open man on offense on a two on one fastbreak and the other guy with the ball looks at me twice wide open and instead keeps trying to force his way to the hoop rather than hit me for the easy layup...i was so pissed. everyone in the gym was looking at me like "i know you gotta be mad cause you were open on a fast break" look and then they kept asking him why he didnt pass it..he apologized to me like 3 times after it happened.'
talk about not being confident in your teammates....

Re: The worst pick up players.
Yeah and I always have this guy on my team. Lol its like help if u can't even touch rim your going to be dunking at my height. Not being cocky but I'm an uber athlete so people who are shorter than me are always...well hating lol and I'm only 6"4 its not like I'm a giant lol. But the players I don't like are the ones that tell me to play in the post when I'm usually the best perimeter player on my team haha.Comment

Re: The worst pick up players.
The only ones I won't play with are people who won't play defense and people who quit during a game, especially if you need him to make ten players. Other than that its fair game. I'm sure I fall into several categories. I'll be physical with my opponents, I will intimidate them any way that I can. Depending on who I am playing(usually college guys) I will talk trash. if I see a teamate getting beat often I will try to help him guard his man by rotating over. If its because they are lazy then I'll just stand there and stare them down. The there are guys that clap their hands as you are shooting over them(as if that is going to make me miss) I miss/make shots regardless of a hand clap. I also like the guy who says "thats off", or "we'll live" every time you take a shot. I find it highly amusing, especially after you've scored several baskets. Me and a few close friends hoop at 24hr fitness in Addison(dallas suburb) regularly. For the most part we get a good group of guys.Comment

Re: The worst pick up players.
^^ LMFAO ^^
You know what I don't like. The double standard people have for big men in a pick up game. I'm usually the biggest on the court. So I'm down low posting up most of the time. I'm not hack. I usually call other guys fouls even if they don't call. What happens usually in my games. Is that I dominate down low for while. I can usually score in bunch. But then I start getting smacked in the face and all kind of BS. Most of these fouls from little guys who get boxed out or get posted up. I'm talking LOUD smacks across my arms. I get pushed over the edge once someone says "Your a big men you should expect to be fouled like that" smh

How about the chuck who is scoring all the points. And once he finally makes a pass and you miss. And he gets on you because you missed. Come on now... after 15 points over double-triple teams. You expect me to be into the game.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: The worst pick up players.
The guy that calls everyone garbage, no matter of their actual skill level. Dude could score all of his team's points and he'd still be "not that good". I know you want to be confident, but come on now, really?NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
