I cant lie, when I play one on one or king of the court or something I'll definetly try some BS Curry shots that I wont ever make. Wont do that when playing with others though lol

Never tried taking shots that require a passport, but I have been known to attempt some insane circus layups in casual games. But part of that reason is I never developed the ability to finish with my left hand.

In a related note, I object to the little guys who take a look at anyone 6'3'' and over and say, "Man, if I were that big I'd be dunking every time down the court."

Man I'm 5'11 and can get pretty close, give me the extra inches and the wingspan and I'd be throwing down easy. A lot of guys my size are pretty close. I know this dude who's 6'2 with a reach of around 8'2 and can't dunk. My reach is like 7'6-7'7. I'm always talking bout how I'd be boomin if I was his size 😂😂😂

Haha, that's pretty much how it usually goes. The little fellers don't seem to realize that it's not always as simple as just jumping and dunking all the time during games.

Funniest **** is all the dudes who think they'd suddenly be elite if they could dunk. Like no, you'd be the same player, you'd just have a few extra inches on your vert.

Lmao I just measured myself and I ain't 5'11. **** I ain't even 5'10, I'm like 5'9.5. I really wish I was my boys height man, I could dunk with ease if I had an extra 8 inches of reach. Imma probably dunk by the end of grade 10 tho, so far I've only put it down once, off a lob, on a rim that might have been short.

I remember you as a dunker, you got any tips? I've been practicing on 9.5 foot rims, I bring it way back, I'm well above the rim, but the ball slips out when I try to slam it.

Getting old sucks. It's just as frustrating mentally as it is physically. Knowing that you can't do the same things you used to be able to easily wears on you. Granted you can use your experience and knowledge but it's no substitute for youth and fresh tendons lol.

One of the biggest things I've noticed is how bad my agility has become. I equate it to my first car, a Chevy Nova that leaked power steering fluid. Turning corners in that thing was a shoulder workout. It's how I feel playing defense these days lol.

Went to the gym last week(Haven't worked out in like 2-3 months)and tried to grab/touch the rim off straight vert. 10 years ago, I would've looked like Baby Vince.

Fast forward 10 years later and I now have that struggle vert, looking like Chuck.

I had been going out to play with a couple of guys (actually a couple of guys on OS) on Saturdays for a couple of years. This was in my mid-30s after a few years of not touching a basketball outside of 2k. I was decent enough.

Now as I'm knocking on 40, I see my greatest asset (quickness) leaving me exposed on both ends.

Is it too late to develop a jump shot? Lol
