    Scott Skiles on Tobias Harris:
“He’s got a chance to be really versatile,” Skiles said. “I know it’s early, but you feel just by looking at him and watching him, whatever his ceiling is going to be, he’s going to reach it. He’s a very high motivated kid.”
Only one other time have I heard Coach Skiles use a phrase similar to that one regarding Harris’s ceiling: During the 2009-10 Media Day when speaking about Luc Mbah a Moute, a famously hard worker.

I love Charlotte's draft because I don't like them and enjoy their failure.

They could've had Singleton & the SDSU guy (I can't spell his name)

Kemba is gonna be the 6th man I guess
      Bismack will be nothing

According to multiple sources, Walsh took a poll of the Knicks' war room, of all the scouts and basketball staff, and there was a split between Shumpert and Singleton. Walsh then turned to Mike D'Antoni, who said he wanted Shumpert. That's when Walsh declared, "Shumpert is the pick" and the selection was submitted.

Totally Agree. Rich Cho did a really good job in the draft IMO

Walsh's choice came down to two defensive guys -- Florida State forward Chris Singleton and Shumpert. Some in the organization felt Singleton was the best player available, but Walsh chose the latter because of position. The Knicks are thin in the backcourt and Shumpert can also defend shooting guards.

"Internally we talked about that a lot," Walsh said of the choice between Singleton and Shumpert. "Fact is, we're going to have more room at the [point guard] position and 2-guard position than the guys we have at the 3 and 4. I know people say [Singleton] can play [against shooting guards] but it's difficult for guys that size."
I can respect that, more than letting Pringles have essentially the final say. I agree with the last statement too, Singleton isn't going to be able to effectively guard NBA SGs.

wizards and bucks are the big winners IMO.

not in love with tobias harris but the bucks did some major "addition by subtraction" and should be back in the playoffs. (provided a healthy bogut)

Agreed 100%. I love guys like Larry Sanders and Tobias Harris that have great work ethics, and Harris has a great NBA body. 6'8" and 230, plus he's athletic and has a good feel for the game. A lot of potential there.

You are just showing your ignorance there. This was a great draft for the Bobcats. Sure we will be awful next year, but that means top lottery pick. We are doing what the Sonics/Thunder did. Great picks, not double facepalms.

We needed help @ the Guard position. Shumpy is the best defensive guard in draft. He fills a need. Singleton also plays defense, but he's a forward, though he can guard multiple positions.

DJ will be traded, so will Boris, we are just guaranteeing ourselves high picks. We are a small market team, why accept mediocricy and fight to get swept out of the 1st round every year?

Next year we will have a top 3 pick and could get a superstar then.

Harrison Barnes from UNC would be the story book pick next year. Love Kemba there, think its crazy he got slept on so hard.

The Bobcats were never going to get anything amazing from this draft, why not take a chance on someone like Biyombo instead of just taking someone mediocre?

Good draft for the Bobcats I say

I'm mad at the apparent "Pringles got the final say" aspect of it. A coach who probably won't be here by 2013? I'm not mad with the pick at all actually, I think he'll be okay.

I would love Harrison Barnes too, right now we are building up assets. Sure I would love to draft Singleton there, but Kwahi is nothing special, all he does is play good defense, we have that already in Henderson.
