Derrick Rose provided a MVP caliber performance down the stretch to single-handily carry the Bulls into overtime. The only reason the Pacers won that game was because Derrick Rose was the only Bull that showed up that night. That's not going to happen for four-out-of-seven games against the Pacers.
Relax dude. Read my previous posts. I have the Bulls In the Finals.

No where in my above did I allude to the Pacers winning the series.

The MVP Chanting in Indiana is dumb fans and Chicago fans attending the game.

Why do you have Chicago in the finals? They haven't done **** in the playoffs as a unit and what they've done in the regular season "don't mean ****".

They certainly have all the pieces of the championship formula on paper (cept what I mention at the bottom) that have already been touched on in here. The big question is how it all goes once the big boys start playing for real in the post season.

I don't see them beating LA in a seven game series and Boston is still my pick to come out of the East but I wouldn't be surprised at all of Chicago ousts the post-Perkins C's.

Basketball-wise my biggest concern is their ability to score inside vs Boston & LA since Boozer has always had trouble with length/size and you're hard pressed to look back through history and find a champ without a big time offensive threat in the post. Plus teams with a PG as their best player haven't won a title in over 20 years (and Zeke/Magic are the only two to ever do it). Will Rose be able to shake that?

Granger and them Matchup better w/ the Bulls, so I understand their wanting to face Chicago.
Since when do teams have preferences of who they want to play? Whatever happened to competitive pride?

Before this season started my gut feeling not based on any Numbers at all, just from watching them last year playoffs, I felt they had good chance of getting to the Finals. I made this pick on another site.
I felt that Boozer was the low post thraet to go along w Noah interior play.

Over this season after watching them my concerns have been new unit playoff exp with this specific team along w Roses load carrying.

Its based on pure faith and not on historical stats and or W/L.

Im super skeptical of any team that doesnt go deep one year going all the way in the next year. But i stand by my pick regardless of numerical logic.

Im sorry if i offend anyones idea about the regular season. i just throw that **** out the window when the playoffs start.

Feel free to put me on blast.

Zeke was the only pg to win the chip as the leading scorer. Both he and Dumars were Finals Mvps.
Magic wasnt the leading scorer in his Finals wins.

Magic has won it all while leading the team in scoring both for the regular season and the finals. In the 87 season he put up 24,12, and 6 and in the 87 NBA Finals Magic averaged 26,13, and 8. Tony Parker also was the leading scorer on the Spurs in the finals when he won finals MVP.

Re: In YOUR Opinion: Do The Bulls Have A Good Shot At Winning It All?

"New unit playoff experience" should not be a concern at all. It'd be one thing if nobody on the team had no playoff experience at all, then I could understand that. But being skeptical of a team because of "new unit playoff experience"? Better off just saying you don't have confidence or don't trust them in making a deep run in the playoffs instead of just making excuses up.

Now to answer the question: Do I think they have a good shot at winning it all this year? Put it like this, I like their chances much more now than I did in October or February. And my reasons why are because they already have 2 of the "requirements" needed to win a Championship and that is Defense and Rebounding. You get 2 of those right there and at the very least have locked up a spot in the 2nd round.

Not only that but it's the depth of their bigs that give them an advantage over other teams and with the exception of Asik, are guys that have significant experience in the Playoffs(Noah, Boozer, Thomas)and 2 of them have made to at least ONE Conference Final or made a Finals appearance. Not to mention, they have a Coach who has seen what it takes to get there, including playing a significant role in helping his team win a Championship as well.

                      I agree strongly with PP.

The two things I am questioning for them to win a title:

I don't know if Boozer has championship level chemistry with Noah/Rose yet.

I don't know if Deng/Korver/Bogans/Brewer are enough on the perimeter offensively.

I realize Deng has had a solid year, but he's always a question mark in my mind.

I still peg Boston ahead of them slightly. I look at Miami like I do Chicago. Very capable with more question marks than Boston. I have already discounted Orlando/Atlanta. They got no shot. Zero.

I don't really understand why people feel this way (not just you). The Bulls roster is completely overhauled from last year and the season before. Those Bulls teams didn't have the talent. Also, people tend to forget that the Celtics went from lottery to the championship, so all that "you have to advance step by step" talk makes no sense to me.

I understand Po, but please don't bring the 2008 Celtics into this conversation. Just don't. They don't compare.

I think they are very capable of getting to the finals but I don't think they could win it. I'm hoping they lose in the frst round my Pacers but I highly doubt that happens unless we kidnapped Rose, might not be a bad idea, lol. I really hate the Bulls more than I do any other team beisdes the Pistons and they are a toss up. But the Bulls do look awafull good.
