it means i cant debate you on this subject

I wasn't trying to debate...I was actually asking the question because I can't believe that a team that was up by 23 could have it taken away by the refs. For the record, I'd love to see the Mavs win...I've always been a Cuban fan and I like the way Dallas plays. I just have a hard time believing that a team could blow a 23 point lead and it is the officials fault.

As a Thunder fan, I don't know if I'd rather play San Antonio or Memphis? The Grizzlies look good.

Well, they seem to have something against Chandler

the out of bounds could have gone either way

there was nothing there to overturn that call

with the way things were going I knew they were going to

Still Broy exploded at the end and you should be blaming Marion because he blew right past the dude. If Dallas gets a couple of stops the Blazers do not win.

Mavs obviously had a large percentage...but without the zebras slanting things as much as possible to one side, the Blazers do not win.

I'll give you a percentage.

50% of it was the Mavs. The other 50% was Brandon Roy.

As a Thunder fan, I don't know if I'd rather play San Antonio or Memphis? The Grizzlies look good.

Mavs had zero total FTs at half time in a physical game....how many times have you seen that in a playoff game

refs kept it as close as they could throughout the entire game....then helped take the Blazers over the top at the end with the changes of possession with the phantom foul on Chandler, the "charge" on Dirk, the out of bounds overturn, etc.

They might not have had any free throws but they still had a lead and in the second half the Mavericks took more free throws than the Blazers and had a 23 point lead. The Mavericks choked and that's all there is to it.

ya of course the refs have zero percentage. they were not a factor at all and they didnt slant the game at all

now that the attention towards sending Danny Crawford to game two is down, the league is going to slant it towards Portland as much as possible...not to mention that a west coast time slot series is more advantageous to the league in the second round on top of their central time slot series

There were a few bad calls. The refs most definitely didn't play a major role in the Mavs allowing a 23 point lead to so quickly dissipate, nor were they responsible for Brandon Roy going 8-9 in the 4th. Dirk not getting a shot for the last 7 minutes of the game? Not the refs fault either.

Sometimes the Refs are horrible with big men. Yao Ming would always get called for ridiculous things. I don't think it's the Refs fixing the game, just that NBA refs are very mediocre if that imo.

As for giving the Blazers extra possessions. I don't remember that. Nowitzki had 1 offensive foul that qtr which was correctly called.

The Marion foul on Roy's 3 pointer was embellished (which the refs always fall for) and even if you take that 1 FT away the Blazers still win the game.

Just look at the play-by-play from 10mins on in the 4th. The refs really only got one call wrong which is the out of bounds play which could have went either way any ways.

Also still...if the Mavs get one stop in the final 5 or so mins they win this game. Thats all there is to it. Roy does not miss a single shot from 7 mins on until the very last shot which allowed Terry to chuck up a prayer. Thats bad defense and it is bad offense that Dirk didn't try to quell such a run.

If the refs were really trying to keep the game close for the Blazers, then they would've given them more fouls once the game started getting out of hand. The Blazers and Mavericks both got 6 free throws in the 3rd quarter and the Mavericks had one more free throw than the Blazers in the 4th quarter. Also, the Blazers only had 1 less foul than the Mavericks in the 4th quarter. The officiating is not the reason for the game going the way that it did and if you actually look at the facts, you would see that.

Okay guys, enough of this roundabout ****.

There were questionable calls, yes.....but the sole blame is the rest of the team not getting the ball to arguably the best 4th quarter player in the league in said quarter.
