Bumis, I wouldn't have answered a question directed at you, but I was the one posting the comparisons of SEA/OKC and DEN.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Ya'll do realize that OKC is Bumi's favorite team, right?
Not saying that should make his opinion irrelevant or whatever, but just something to chew on.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Classic example of a single fan ruining a player for me. I'll take Carmelo after reading the thread.Comment

You made the excuse just a few posts ago that Durant didn't do as well as Melo in his first few years because Seattle purposely tankedComment

Re: Let's settle this: Kevin Durant vs. Carmelo Anthony
It's impossible at this point. You can't have a productive argument when people willingly ignore quantifiable evidence in favor of, well, their eyes. When they're proven wrong, as they were in this case, they can fall back on the "well, my eyes told me so!" argument, which is about as fallacious as it gets. So, instead of, you know, supporting their claims, they laugh and prance about in mocking tones. How does Melo get the nod, despite being inferior in ever relevant statistic; today, and yesterday? Don't know. But if you need someone to convince you that the sum of two and two is three, this would be the place.
You need to understand that people are going to disagree with you, and they're not necessarily wrong. Basketball is a complex game. There's more to it than TS%, Points, Rebounds, and Assists.Bears | Bulls | Cubs | Illinois | #Team3Some

The best, most logical, and most convincing basketball arguments come when stats are married to educated opinions based off of observation. This thread is headed for a divorce due to irreconcilable differences.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Re: Let's settle this: Kevin Durant vs. Carmelo Anthony
I was waiting for the Denver turnaround in Melo's rookie year would come up. Durant's rookie season was abysmal. You would think given that he's so much better than Melo according to Bumi, he would have led his team to more than 20 and 23 wins in his first two seasons.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Let's settle this: Kevin Durant vs. Carmelo Anthony
Despite how many seasons few would imply, I said from the beginning that I was speaking of their first two seasons. And the team tanking is a ridiculous argument. Unless the players were actively out there throwing games, it doesn't change the fact that he didn't win. If we're gonna point out Melo's failures, does it not make sense to point out Durant's? And if you're going to blame Melo for his entire team's failures, then I'm going to blame Durant for his.Comment

Re: Let's settle this: Kevin Durant vs. Carmelo Anthony
the team tanking isn't a ridiculous argument at all that team was terrible they were really bad nuggets had the better squad if you guys are gonna state the reason melo only been out the playoffs once cause of his bad team it is fair that the reason Durant didn't immediately get to the playoffs is because of the circumstances in Seattle and the fact they were on complete rebuild mode.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Let's settle this: Kevin Durant vs. Carmelo Anthony
So I think we're on the same page as far as things just need to be equal across the board. Bumi is trying to crucify Melo for his team's failures but Durant gets a pass because he played on a bad squad. I don't have anything against either one, but we can't judge one one way and the other with a whole other method.Comment
